Our cute casita is situated in a large garden beside a river. You can listen to the birds and howler monkeys, relax in your hammock on the patio, and look at the Guanacaste trees in the garden. You can use the pickleball / basketball court on the property with a terrace and outdoor kitchen. You can walk to Marsella beach (10 min.) or Maderas beach (20 min.), where you have great surf. It is 10 min. to San Juan del Sur: you can already use the new road, the Costanera, that is being built.

We are the closest apartment to the beach! The modern open space with warm notes of teak wood opens up to the trees and lets in a nice breeze. There’s AC in the bedroom. Family of 3? Fue genial. I needed to rest for a while on my bike trip from Texas to Panamà. It was private and quiet but still only 2 km walk into town which we did daily. Also Playa peña rota is 2.5k and very private and worth the walk. Roger was always there to help with nice messages from Spain ! Muchas gracias. Queremos volver!!!

Staying at Rolland’s place in Popoyo was an absolute dream. The house is gorgeous, perfectly located right by the beach, and incredibly well-maintained. It was spotless and felt fresh, clean, and cared for in every detail. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Rolland himself. His energy is incredible, warm, uplifting, and full of positivity. He’s one of the kindest and most genuine hosts we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, Rolland made us feel completely at home. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and loves sharing the magic of Popoyo. People in Germany always talk about wanting to live in paradise. then you should come to Toño. He actually had another reservation in a hotel and only wanted to spend the first night with Tonio and then canceled the other reservation and stayed here for four days because it was so nice :) 5 stars!

We had such a great week’s stay at Victoria’s. The apartment has such a beautiful patio and view and is well stocked for a comfortable stay (great wifi and fully stocked kitchen). The location is peaceful and quiet, yet close to town. The pool is well maintained and made for some relaxing afternoons after our morning surf’s. Victoria and her family were so warm and welcoming. I couldn’t recommend their place enough.

on all my travels, this is one of the most well thought out, beautiful airbnb experiences I have ever had. the morning breakfast with the view, followed by a swim in the infinity pool to start each day was nothing short of incredible for my wife and I. Michael provided snacks in the room, local recommendations for food and activities and has scooters you can rent as well (you will want transport to enjoy everything SJDS has to offer) if I could give more than 5 stars I would

I cannot recommend this place enough, I stayed here for 4 weeks and it felt like home! Maria Luisa is an incredibly kind and welcoming host and also a great Spanish teacher. The location is perfect, quiet and private but only a minute walk to all the best restaurants and beaches. I would not hesitate to come back or recommend it to anyone thinking of going to San Juan Del Sur.
