Vicenza

The artisan tradition of gold and jewels of Vicenza has its roots in Roman times and has remained an identifying trait of the city to this day.
Alongside the large producers who make the city the most important Italian goldsmith centre, there are also historic craftsmen's shops, some of which offer workshops to try their hand at the production techniques of jewels or the possibility of seeing the artisans' laboratories.
To complete an immersive experience in the goldsmith tradition of Vicenza, there is nothing better than a visit to the Jewellery Museum in the city centre, which displays an extraordinary collection of goldsmith artefacts over the centuries.

Palladian Basilica
