Brigitte's home is lovely. We are a family of 10, 6 adults and 4 teenagers celebrating a special birthday and anniversary. The house was perfect for us. The location was peaceful with open views of fields from the garden. The pool was amazing, we all enjoyed fun times in there. The Sauna was very much appreciated after the activities in the pool. We also enjoyed the Football and Table Tennis and the bikes. We biked to Merville where there are a few shops including a bakery. We also enjoyed a bike ride to Pegagus Bridge and The Battery at Merville. The house is perfectly located for D Day beaches and other historical sites. The kitchen was very well equipped and loved cooking on the BBQ. It was lovely meeting Verione who was waiting to greet us at the house. We all had a fantastic holiday. Thank you. Anne

We cannot say enough great things about my stay at Sophie’s place — it was truly exceptional from start to finish. Sophie was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and responsive, making us feel at home the moment we arrived. Her hospitality set the tone for a warm and relaxing experience. The place itself was spotless. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making it both cozy and beautifully maintained. It felt like a home away from home, with all the little touches that make a big difference — from linens to a well-equipped kitchen and inviting decor. The location was perfect — quiet and peaceful, centrally located to the Normandy sites. We appreciated how easy it was to get around. If you're looking for a comfortable, immaculately clean, and truly welcoming place to stay, look no further. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Sophie’s place to anyone. Un excellent gîte, très original avec sa grande piscine intérieure qui a bien plu à toute la famille. La maison est une demeure ancienne pleine de charme et très bien restaurée. La cuisine bien équipée et le jardin très agréable . La commune est exactement à mi chemin entre Caen et la Suisse Normande ( 15mn) Enfin super accueil, amical et réactif. Merci encore et à bientôt

Valérie’s place was exceptional! Every little detail was beautifully catered for from the quality linen to the yummy French teas and coffee pods. Valérie was the friendliest host and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and gave us so much local information and points of interest. We were sad to say goodbye. Definitely the best Airbnb we have stayed in.

The property and hosts were both excellent, we had a great time visiting an appreciated the private and beautiful location. It is very close to all Normandy historical attractions yet the property is tucked away in a small village that is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and found the hosts to be truly wonderful people. Highly recommend!

Going to Normandy with my 83 year old grandpa was easy and exactly what we had hoped for thanks to Sandra’s location. Great space that was very quiet and private in a beautiful neighborhood, within a walkable distance to the city center. Highly recommend this place for any family to come and enjoy the sights of Normandy!

We had a most wonderful stay at Morgane and Baptiste cottage in beautiful Normandy. It was the perfect location for a relaxed getaway from everyday busy life. The place itself is lovely, a really restful space with that was perfectly clean, comfortable and cosy. We had great days where we spent most of it there, resting and relaxing. The location was good too, 5 minutes from amenities, 20 minutes from Juno beach and 15 from Caen, so there’s plenty to do, without having to go far. And our hosts were fantastic! Really friendly, quick to respond and ready to give advice. They helped us plan a journey into Paris, and took time to say farewell when we left - we left really impressed!

Mes enfants, leurs compagnons et moi-même avons beaucoup apprécié le logement. Très bien situé, manifestement destiné aux locations saisonnières et plutôt récemment équipé (rien ne manque pour les cuisiniers avertis, nous en avons bien profité), calme, lumineux et spacieux. Petit jardin terrasse avec des transats permettant de lire ou bavarder au calme, et si la météo s’y prête, de manger dehors et de faire des grillades avec un barbecue haut de gamme. Seul bémol: à notre arrivée, il n’y avait ni sel ni poivre ni savon! Nous avons laissé l’essentiel (ainsi que de l’essuie-tout) pour les futurs locataires, en espérant que tout le monde joue le jeu de l’esprit Airbnb, fondé sur l’accueil personnel. Pour résumer, nous recommandons ce logement

We enjoyed our time. There was a hiccup with check in and Jean was incredibly responsive in helping us navigate a locked gate and gain access to the house. We had heavy wind one day while we were away from the house and Jean reached out promptly to provide us instruction on the use of the shutters (which is a new house item for us). We loved the walk to the English Channel, the quietness of the street, and the cute bakeries in town. Very quaint, and about 35-60 minutes from all D-day attractions. Only thing that was odd to us was the room on the lower level had a smaller bed than the upstairs. My wife and I didn’t realize this until after our kids settled in. It was our oversight-but thought I would mention. We highly recommend! It was excellent!

Super semaine passée dans la maison de Clément : de l’extérieur au top de son père à la sortie. La maison est très bien agencée et équipée ! Le logement est idéalement situé et pleins de choses se font à pied. Nous nous sommes régalés avec notre fils de 22 mois.

Sehr schön gestaltetes Haus in sehr gutem Zustand. Alles war sauber und es gab nichts was wir vermisst haben. Der Garten/Terrasse ist nicht einsehbar und man hat ausreichende Privatsphäre. Wir können es nur empfehlen!

Florence’s home was a beautifully compact oasis of peace. The recent extension blends perfectly with the rest of the property and creates a fully equipped and comfortable abode. The garden was a lovely secluded and tranquil area in which to relax. The area, whilst not bustling with activity has all the amenities required for a short stay. The sea front and promenade are exceptional and Bernières-sur-Mer is a great place base yourself for visiting the historic coastal area. Absolutely loved the place

We loved our stay at this charming little airbnb! It was everything that we were expecting based off of the listing. We felt instantly relaxed when we entered the property. It was a perfect little weekend getaway after the busyness of Parisian life. The upper room was the perfect set-up for our family with little kids, even despite having to have walk outside the house to use the stairway. The beds were very comfortable, too. The beach is a close walk away, and so are a few restaurants. No grocery store within walking vicinity though, but there is a patisserie if you’re willing to walk a little further.
