A Perfect Nature Retreat – Highly Recommended! Our stay here was absolutely wonderful—one of the best ways to unwind in the midst of serene nature. Our son especially loved playing with the chickens and feeding them, which made the experience even more memorable. Agnes and her family were incredibly warm and welcoming. They even invited us to join their Easter fire in the garden, a special touch that made our stay truly unique. Agnes also prepared a delicious breakfast, including some yummy treats for our little one, which we greatly appreciated. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by beautiful landscapes, we highly recommend staying here for at least two days to fully immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of the place. It’s an ideal escape for families, couples, or anyone seeking a refreshing break in nature. We’ll definitely be back!!

We had great days in Lemmer. The apartment is clean and tidy and located right in the center! We will be happy to come back.

Our stay in this beautiful vacation home was simply great. The accommodation is cozy and very clean. The location is ideal – quiet and idyllic, but still well connected. We particularly liked the proximity to the zoo in Emmen, which we could easily reach. The charming cheese shop was also a great insider tip from Anne-Marie. In addition to the cheese, we also bought an Old Jenever, the traditional Dutch juniper, and had Hagelslag for breakfast. And of course, the whirlpool was simply fantastic for relaxing. For nature lovers, the nearby forest is ideal for walks or bike rides. We enjoyed the peace and the fresh air very much. Anne-Marie and Marnix were super friendly and helpful, the communication was uncomplicated and they responded quickly. There wasn't even a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival 😊 Conclusion: An absolutely recommended accommodation, we will be happy to come back.

There were three of us in the apartment. There is a nice, large living room with large couch, two separate bedrooms, a great kitchen and a small, somewhat narrow bathroom. The apartment has three large TVs. The kitchen via a stove, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. Bed linen and towels were provided for us. Heating and shower worked perfectly. The location of the apartment is not optimal at a larger intersection, but close to the city center and a short distance to the train station. overall, the apartment met our requirements and is recommended in terms of value for money. The communication with Annegret was great.

We came from France for 4 nights, the welcome was very warm, The setting is very beautiful and quiet, well designed for our dog Lilou, small enclosed yard, the accommodation is comfortable, as indicated on the site. What a wonderful stay we had in the cozy house of Aster and Erik. After a warm welcome, it didn't take long for us to feel completely at home. With wonderful places to sit in the house: around the fireplace, by the TV, a reading corner, a relaxing chair and a great dining table. And a fully equipped kitchen with cooking island, where you can also look outside and enjoy the beautiful view. The bedrooms are also great and the beds comfortable. The large bathroom downstairs is a bit more luxurious, but the bathroom upstairs also works fine. And around the house there are also all cozy seating areas, one of which has a canopy under which we sat outside despite less good weather. Also the room with table football, darts, pool table and other fun games was great! The surroundings are also really beautiful. We'd love to come back here.

Gite corresponding to the photos, even better ( we didn't expect an entrance spacious enough to shelter our bikes). Frootje is very responsive to messages and his mom met us on arrival. Absolute calm, clear environment, very pleasant living space, very good bedding. In the listing, we talk about 3 bedrooms, there are 4( 2 with double beds, separable if needed), and 2 with single beds. One of the double bedrooms is on the ground floor, it's good for people with difficulty with the fairly steep stairs. Just to know, the hangings could be obscuring( in the bedrooms)for those who like the darkness to sleep. And the toilet is with the shower, a little annoying when you want to get ready in the morning. In short, a place to remember. Thank you for everything. Nadine

We had a great time with six adults. The space was good for the six of us. Monique and Peter sent very clear instructions about the accommodation. Immediately after booking, we were informed that a number of sleeping places are accessible with a somewhat steeper staircase. Very thoughtful but was also clear from the description and the photos. Beautiful view, beautiful, very large garden. Sauna was wonderful all in combination with the outdoor shower. Space to put the bikes down dry, very nice. Being able to charge your car is also a plus. And Peter and Monique were super nice. We even got a discount on the use of the sauna because they found it annoying that the weather was not so good. I can accommodate anyone who wants to get away from it all with a few people and enjoy the peace and space that is available.

We enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic time in Midwolde. It was easy to start our bike tours from here. The sauna and all other amenities were outstanding! A very tasteful intererior design. The beds were so comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay!

Overall a lovely stay in a very well located place. Kitchen was clean and had a large dishwasher which was helpful with children in tow. Full bath was lovely. Caretaker was friendly and a pleasure to work with. A really cool guy who furnished the place with personal, artistic touches. Groningen was so easy to explore on a rental bakfiets. Grocery, restaurants, parks and cultural places minutes from the apartment. Wish we had access to the washer/dryer given we were traveling with children. Bath was not operational due to a leak needing investigation through no fault of the caretakers doing, but would have made bathing children easier. Overall would highly recommend. Edwin was so friendly and oriented us during our check in. Groningen beats the bustle of the Randstad any day!

We had a great stay in Erica. Unlike the pictures and description, there was no oven in the apartment. However, you can use a shared kitchen. Very nice and well-maintained apartment.

Nice studio with everything you need (modern bathroom and fully equipped kitchen) in the center of Roden. Parking right outside the door. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. At the same time on the edge of the forest and therefore a good starting point for walks. In the house also all kinds of leaflets and information about the (wide) surroundings. Nice extra were the board games to play. Very pleasant contact with the hostess. We enjoyed it.

Julian is a responsive host. His apartment offers a quiet, natural light-filled home with a very comfortable bed in a modern well-appointed space. It was very clean upon arrival and the washer/dryer was great to have since we had been traveling already 10 days. Julian was very agreeable in getting the key to our daughter who lives in the town since we were arriving very late. What we wish we had known/understood: the apartment is up three flights of a tight spiral staircase; while not cluttered at all it’s clear that it’s the owners living space (e.g. no ability to use closet because personal items were there) and food items were in the fridge and cabinets. Again, not cluttered, but it just surprised us. The listing notes that there’s a private office area (& shows photos) however that was marked private with a closed door and full of the owner’s items. The apartment was very convenient to our daughter’s apt and Julian was very flexible; we would love to stay again!

We were received in a very friendly manner and felt right at home. The apartment is well equipped and above all we loved the large terrace. The view is simply a dream!!! We would come back anytime. Thank you for everything.
