Holiday rentals with an accessible-height bed in Cuba

This was my second time staying at Maira’s apartment, and once again, it was a great experience. The location is one of the biggest highlights — close to Casa de la Musica, a fantastic live music venue you can walk to for a great night out. For me, parking is essential since I usually rent a car, and this place makes it easy. You can typically park right on the street out front, and there’s also a secure paid lot directly across the street that only costs 300 Cuban pesos per night (about $1.50 USD), which is super convenient — especially in case of a power outage. The apartment is on the third floor with a reliable elevator, and it’s well equipped with all the essentials: a strong working A/C, comfortable space, and a small terrace perfect for cooling off and people-watching after a day exploring Havana. Maira and her nephew, Mr. Piloto, are fantastic hosts. He’s just a quick call away if you ever need anything, and they both go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable.

Rafael es un gran anfitrión, super atento y servicial, me llevó a la estación de autobuses aunque no lo necesitaba y se aseguró de que llegara a mi destino. El lugar es genial, organizado, limpio y perfectamente ubicado - en caso de problemas de electricidad, tiene ventiladores y luces de emergencia que siempre ayudan. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Ricardo was super helpful and friendly. very responsive to any questions I had and made everything very easy. AC in the main bedroom worked well. Having fridge sticked with cold drinks for a price ($1 each) was very convenient when I didn't feel like walking around the corner (where they are sold more for between 65-90 cents). I would definitely stay at Ricardo's place again if I visit Havana again. Thanks Ricardo!

Nereyda un encanto, estaba pendiente de todo, muy comunicativa, el alojamiento muy bien, la ubicación, una zona con mucha vida , restaurantes, ferias, cerca de hotel Habana Libre, Un alojamiento a tener en cuenta, muy bien.

Enrique estaba comunicativo y ayudable todo el tiempo antes y durante nuestro viaje. Tb ofrecio un desayuno preparado para $5 por cada persona que fue rico y aunque no estaba una lavadora el lavo nuestra ropa cuando le pedimos. El alojamiento estuvo en el tercer nivel de un edificio bonito y abajo hay un lugar donde se puede comprar meriendas si quieras. Rompimos un plato y el nos dijo que no paso nada. El alojamiento estaba bien bonito y limpio. Me quedaria alla otra vez y lo recomiendo el lugar a otros hospedes.

Maria and her Husband were the finest Hosts! We were greeted with Cuban warmth and affection...as family. Was the best to spend time with my Partner and son. To celebrate his birthday. Coming back to my second home. For family times. The apartment was beautiful. Every was in top shape. Front room, Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and loved the balcony overlooking the street. Was excellent to say hello, give greetings back and forth to neighbors. and in the evening. Maria was the best as far as information. She is fluent in English. She gave us acknowledgement that we were there for family times. She also arranged for a trip to a place where none of had ever been. It was breathtaking. Thankyou Maria

No encuentro las palabras para describir lo MARAVILLOSA que fue mi estancia con Esperanza 💕 sin duda volveré. La ubicación es perfecta para visitar muchas cosas caminando, sus recomendaciones fueron las mejores, su calidez indescriptible, la seguridad de la casa es muy buena, el desayuno super delicioso, recomiendo SI o SI sus habitaciones en renta. Me voy con el corazón lleno de conocer a personas tan maravillosas, Esperanza nos hizo sentir más que en casa, agradezco muchísimo cada atención.

They make you feel like family. Be prepared to feel welcomed, with help with all different aspects of the cuban culture, as well as having the the ultimate home at your disposal for groups, and the space needed to host many sizes of parties at the illustrious Casa Fly. I travel all over the world, and have the opportunity to stay many places with many hosts. You are guaranteed to find the best of the best in Maite and Mauro, and Casa Fly in Miramar!

Un buen lugar, grande y bonito. Suficiente para 4 o más personas. Nosotros siendo dos, nos sentíamos con muchísimo espacio. Todo lindo y ordenado, con piezas especiales en su decoración. Camas cómodas y en general todo el lugar. No contamos con internet wifi, no se nos avisó que era con adquisición previa de tarjeta, además no contamos con electricidad en algunos momentos, que si sabemos no depende del anfitrión.

Very nice and service minded host. The house was according to the pictures. Big and nice Important to note that the location is not as it was indicated on the map in Airbnb where it seems like it very close to the old town. I think the address is correct in the ad, but it appears wrongly in the map on Airbnb

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le logement ! L’emplacement est tout simplement parfait, à proximité de tout ce dont on avait besoin. L’accueil de Daniel a été au-delà de nos attentes: très bienveillant et toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions ou nous apporter son aide. C’est vraiment un plus. Je recommande vivement ce logement à tous ce qui recherche à la fois confort et un hôte attentif. Merci encore pour ce merveilleux séjour.

Estoy muy feliz de que hayamos logrado encontrar un alojamiento donde la pasamos muy bien en La Habana, Cuba. Y nuestro anfitrión Calixto fue particularmente atractivo. Parece que realmente proporcionó un momento agradable y memorable. Pasar un buen rato en un alojamiento es extremadamente importante y, obviamente, las habilidades de hospitalidad de Calixto contribuyeron mucho a eso. Su amabilidad, amabilidad y disponibilidad probablemente fueron fundamentales para que nos sintiéramos como en casa y encontráramos todo lo que necesitábamos. Excelente trato por parte del anfitrión, siempre estuvo al tanto de lo que se pudiera ofrecer. El acceso a Internet a través del celular fue muy útil e importante. El alojamiento estuvo limpio y muy acogedor. El aire acondicionado en las habitaciones fue muy importante para aliviar el calor propio del lugar. Evidentemente me volvería a hospedar en este alojamiento.

RECOMENDABLE AL 100% - VOLVERE Marta y sus ayudantes son un encanto!! La casa es perfecta en el centro del Vedado, (mejor zona de la Habana), amplia, limpia, muy bien situada, bonitas vistas y la zona muy tranquila. Ascensor con generador (siempre funciona). La Wifi es muy buena y siempre funciona (un milagro para Cuba). La casa esta en un 9º con una gran terraza y muy buenas vistas. Hay varios restaurantes en la misma manzana (uno es 24Horas), la zona es muy tranquila y segura. Cerca de sitios como el Hotel Nacional (digno de tomar un mojito en la terraza), el Melia Habana libre, el Presidente (terraza para tomarse algo muy barata). GRACIAS POR TODO MARTA!!

Idenis's house is simply perfect! Spacious, with 3 suites, high ceilings, cool, and air conditioning in all rooms. It's pure comfort. The neighbors are friendly and nice. The place is quiet and close to everything. Patrícia, the apartment's co-host, is wonderful! She served us a great breakfast every day and also chatted with me and my friends for hours, always friendly and welcoming. Everything was perfect! I recommend it to everyone and one day I want to go back!
