Holiday rentals with breakfast in County Longford

Our family of 5 adults enjoyed our stay at Mary and Ray's home. Each of our 4 rooms had an ensuite bathroom, and the home was equipped with heated floors on the lower level, as well as a wood stove, gas fireplace, and dimmable lights for a cozy evening ambiance. The home has many personal touches like motion sensor night lights in the entrance, staircase, and bedrooms, as well as a display of various family members' drawings and paintings. The view of the lake is amazing. There are many lovely restaurants in the area, including a reservation-only prix-fixe restaurant serving venison and partridge. This is a European home, and we were surprised to see a few added luxuries like a few screened windows as well as a tumble dryer (to soften line-dried clothes). Mary and Ray were incredibly responsive and hospitable to us throughout our stay.

Great place, has everything you need. The hosts were really responsive and helpful and made sure we had plenty of stuff for our baby whilst we were there i.e travel cot and high chair. We would definitely consider coming back!

Mark's place is a fantastic property will more than ample space for large groups of people with all the home comforts you could need to make your stay home from home. Also Mark responds very quickly and is fully focused on making his guests stay perfect. We will always stay again if Mark has the availability.

I stayed at Carmel's place a few years ago and have often wanted to return. This time we stayed at Carmel's place with a large group of mums and our kids. We had wonderful time and would love to give even more stars as Carmel and Fintan went above and beyond anything expected from and air BnB host. The location was great in a rural setting and safe and secure so we felt our kids were safe running around. The cleanliness and facilities were second to none and their were so many extra personal touches that made our stay so comfortable including taking into account food preferences for breakfast and leaving us some lovely treats. Some quotes from the other mums show how pleased we really were: Carmel was so thoughtful. When they saw how many kids there were they power washed and sanitised some extra toys for them to play with which was a nice touch. Carmel went above and beyond with the extras (toiletries, slippers, dressing gowns, breakfast, treats), we really weren't expecting that. And she seemed happy to host a load of children which lots of places are not. Absolutely the best air BnB I’ve stayed in for all the little extras, the pony rides were fantastic….the slippers & toiletries etc. It was a great space for kids & families. I didn’t feel worried about letting the kids roam for a bit… The super stocked fridge 👍🏼 the electric front gate made it feel safe as well and the ground level trampoline was a major hit with all 😁

Last minute booking, she went out of her way to accommodate us with her home. Spotless and lovely

Sinead is such an amazing host & considering she is a new to air bnb everything was perfect and even better than described , comfiest beds ever👌 My children (8&3) really enjoyed the huge garden (with trampoline,zip line,swings and walking indigo their pet rabbit!) We originally booked 2 nights but stayed a 3rd night as we had such an experience !

We had to book last minute due to a car breakdown, and Kathleen was kind and accommodating. Her warm hospitality made all the difference during a stressful time. Highly recommended!

Excellent rooms and location

What a great place to stay in Athlone! Right in the city center and only a few mins from the town square and its world famous pub. Lynda was wonderful and made us feel right at home and supplied us with a myriad of snack options. Don’t hesitate to book this cute rental.

Immaculate place to stay in the countryside! Beautifully kept rooms and all the modern conveniences provided. Nicola and Michael are very warm and welcoming! They had great tips for dinners out, provided us with wellies for walking about their land, and made sure we were comfortable. The setting is serene and relaxing!! It was a great “home base” for doing genealogy work in neighboring counties, and is well situated for great day trips. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. Thanks!!

We had a great stay. Everything is like in the pictures. Well located. Maeve left delicious goodies for us. It's very well equipped for all kinds of guests. Totally recommended!

It felt nothing less than a big castle. Tony and Karen welcomed us with a warm smile, we were fascinated with the little talks, kind friendly nature and their hospitality. A soldier statue in armour was one of the attractions of this big beautiful building. Waking up to a view - big lawn with a water pond, added with nature’s drizzling was amazing.. The room had its royal charm with handpicked modern jewelled bed side table lamps, unique mirror, window view. Healthy and tasty Vegan breakfast served by them adds on to the list which makes us visit the place again. Furthermore, they guided us to nearest scenic beauty and possible places we could explore. Moreover, they were flexible with the in and out timings. Thanks much Karen and Tony. !!

This airbnb is a very special sanctuary. The most delightful stay we’ve ever had in dozens and dozens of Airbnb stays. Athlone is a nice, clean city with a lot to offer, but we would return solely due to Paul and Lucia, and their beautiful home. Note some stairs and a slanted ceiling in part of the bathroom (carefully navigated 5'7" and 6'2"). Water pressure is great. Lots of light and amazing outdoor space as noted in listing. Listing photos are nice, but the real thing is fabulous beyond expectation!

We had a wonderful stay at this place! The room was very spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, which we greatly appreciated. My boys enjoyed the pool table and were thrilled with it. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Niamh was incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more pleasant. The only downside was the room facing the road. Despite this, we highly recommend this place!

Mary was very kind and helpful in helping me get settled into the room. The space was comfortable and clean, with a nice view and great bed. Easy to get into town from the house as well. Mary set me on my way with a home cooked breakfast to top it off. It is a great place to stay for a night or two in Sligo.

I highly recommend staying here. Tranquil, extremely clean and the location is central. The staff are very kind and friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! It had such beautiful views right outside the bedroom window, and Waldo & Jirka were so friendly. We were delighted to have such great conversations over breakfast-which was delicious!! As animal lovers, we felt right at home with all of their adorable pets around. 1000/10! We’re already looking forward to our next stay with them!
