Kid-friendly holiday rentals in County Galway

We loved staying at Ocean Crest - the property was beautiful! Ocean and sunset views from the living area. A short and picturesque walk to the village, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful even during the busy Folk Festival. It was a serene retreat and we would love to come back someday!

I can’t say enough about Tommy’s place!! Beautiful views, peaceful. The house was immaculate, spacious, and the beds comfortable. Tommy was an amazing host and shared so much knowledge of what to do and where to eat. Maggie May’s and Ken’s Oriental were delicious.

Tom Jacks is in a stunning, peaceful, location with beautiful coastal views. We even spotted Dolphins, whilst eating breakfast outside! The decking area is spacious and comfortable outdoor furniture is provided,along with a BBQ. Inside, the house is very clean and quite spacious, with a log burner for cosy evenings. (Plenty of logs provided) The house is well situated for drives to the local beaches and surrounding area. Letterfrack has a good supermarket. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning in the future.

What a beautiful home, and it truly felt like home. The views are absolutely stunning—imagine seeing a 3,000 year old stone fort while washing dishes and the ever changing colored sea right out the front windows. Bernie is the perfect host and her communication is instant. We hope to return!

This was a wonderful place!

As we drove up the drive way to the air BnB, the lovely host was waiting and escorted us into the house. We arrived to find a beautiful warm home with an already lit waiting fire, the host Catherine explained all the points of the home which was warm well appointed and nice. We chatted and she gave us some exceptional advice on what to see and where best to go. The farm the house is situated on has donkeys (that my daughter discovered love apples) cows and a horse. There was also a lovely dog that was very affectionate. Every day Catherine laid a new fire for our return from what ever we had been doing. I honestly can’t fault the warm home and welcoming nature of the host. 100% would recommend.

House is beautiful and very comfortable! All the amenities we need and super clean. The view and surrounding scenery are amazing. We walked 3 1/2 miles to town on Sky road each morning and saw donkeys, Connemara ponies, jack rabbits and pheasants. Wonderful restaurants in town. Great hike up Diamond Hill in nearby National Park and swam in ocean at beautiful Dog’s beach. Amazing place for a relaxing and fun vacation!

Our stay was absolutely lovely. The location is remote, yet within 15 minutes of a village with great pubs. The cottage was exactly as described and the views on the walk suggested to us were breathtaking. If you are looking for a peaceful place with excellent hosts, you should book this immediately!

What can I say, it is a wonderful property, the views are spectacular. Very comfortable bed. Mary was so warm and welcoming, made us feel right at home. We enjoyed sitting looking out at the wonderful view, seeing the lights across Lough Corrib, I’m sure that image will stay with us for a very long time. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Mary was a very welcoming host- she was responsive, friendly and easy to communicate with, and left a wonderful welcome pack - including her delicious homemade granola. Mary was also very welcoming to our son and his wife who managed to fit in staying with us during part of our week's stay (they slept on a futon). They loved the place too! The flat is just outside Kinvara which is a lovely village, where, on Mary's recommendation, we listened to live trad Irish music and ate pizza one night. It's a great place from which to explore the burren (don't miss the lovely Russell Gallery and the nearby Flaggy Shore!). Thank you Mary!

Olivia sent us pictures of the house the day before arrival and exact explanations of how to find the house, where the key box is and so on. When we arrived, we were totally thrilled with the apartment from the first moment, it was furnished exactly as described. Very nice, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom happened to be exactly like our furnishing style at home. This immediately gave us a "feeling of home". The apartment was above average well equipped. There were several varieties of tea, shower gels, shampoo, conditioner - hand soap from Rituals, there were adapter plugs & hairspray, in addition a nice cozy wool blanket. We got to know Olivia personally on the day of departure and had a very pleasant and pleasant conversation with her. We would recommend the apartment and Olivia as a landlady at any time. We really enjoyed our time there.

This place looked just like the pictures - actually it was bigger than we expected!! Beautiful location, super clean. Full kitchen was perfect for any kind of cooking we wanted to do. Absolutely lovely and would return!!

Our stay here was perfect. Instructions on finding the place and gaining access to our apartment was great. The location was incredible. Walking distance to everywhere while being off the main drag. There is a bar close by that you can hear the music to at night, but that didn’t bother us at all (plus they provide ear plugs if needed). Overall, a fabulous stay!

a lovely apartment with everything you might need. Slept very well with the firm matress and quality bedlinen. Good shower pressure and lots of towels in bathroom. The pizza downstairs in the bar was so good that we had it 2 nights in a row. Really friendly and helpful staff in the bar who gave us plenty of recommendations for the area. The pub was full each night but we didn't have any issues with sound or noise from below. Highly recommend staying here.

great location, extremely warm and comfortable, Teresa was a very friendly, helpful and responsive, she thought of everything from toiletries to cereal, orange juice and coffee for the morning. couldn't recommend this listing/ host enough

Very nice country house. Not far from Galway. The host is really kind.

Ger met me outside the flat and showed me in and how everything worked. He was a terrific host throughout. The location is in the middle of everything. The only negative is that because it’s close it can be a bit noisy but the window keeps out most of it. A terrific stay in a great location.

Marion was a lovely and attentive host. She gave us very clear instructions on how to find her place. She checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure we were doing ok. Her hideaway is very peaceful and situated in a great place for exploring the west coast of Ireland. We had a great time and would love to return!

Jackie’s place was lovely and spotlessly clean! We didn’t need to contact Jackie much because everything was very straightforward and informative! The position of the home couldn’t be better for the places we wanted to visit especially Galway! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jackie’s place to anyone. Thank you Jackie!

Catriona was very proactive and friendly during our stay. She provided us with numerous suggestions for local activities and places to visit. The house itself is a charming little gem—simple yet delightful—with all the essentials. The fireplace next to the window, along with the sofa, creates a cosy spot to relax, especially on rainy evenings. Unfortunately, our stay was too short, but I hope to come back again and fully relax as we did! We loved it!

Perfect place to stay in Galway! The location was great! The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and so much closet space. An updated kitchen and bathroom with high end finishes and appliances made living there a breeze. I can’t recommend this place enough! We hope to be back some day!

This was such a quaint and charming apartment in a very quiet area just a few minutes walk from all the action. Could not have asked for a better location! Walkable from the rail/bus station and everywhere else you want to go. Very cute place, has everything you need. The Hooked restaurant next door was also wonderful and convenient (they do take-away too). Thanks so much Ollie and Mary for the excellent stay :)

The place was spotless when we arrived and the flowers and snacks were a very nice gesture. The view from the house is stunning. We had a wonderful stay!
