We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this cottage! It was beautiful, peaceful, and had everything you could need plus more. There were fresh eggs and flowers, chocolates, and butter and milk in the fridge for us. We felt right at home and relaxed. It was also VERY clean and the WiFi worked great. The area is beautiful! Loretta and Max were such kind hosts and I couldn’t recommend this place more.

We had a fantastic time and Dwarf Studio was just perfect. It was clean, bright and so comfortable. It had everything we needed and had a real luxurious feel to it. The bed was so comfortable and Julie had really gone the extra mile to make our stay, right from the moment we first walked the door absolutely perfect. I would recommend this to everyone and will certainly stay here again.

We stayed in June for 4 nights as a family group of four adults for a birthday getaway and had the most wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, characterful and peaceful, absolutely immaculate on arrival and we especially loved the outdoor area with the seating and BBQ - we were blessed with warm and sunny weather so we could use it! We were very thankful to be able to bring our dogs as well and want to say an extra thank you for allowing that - great communication from host Craig. There is parking for three cars and it's only a short drive (approx 15-20mins) to Bowness - we did a boat trip from here one day. We also ate one night at the Mason's Arms down the road and had a very nice meal. Overall 10/10 from us!

We have just returned home from 4 nights at Julie's ex-guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. We were a group of 5 adults, a 9 year old and 18 month old and there was space for all of us. Each room has its own ensuite and the kitchen is well stocked. The whole place was very clean and the utility room is also massive which helps if you need to do any washing while staying there. We will definitely look to use Julie's place again in the future. Julie replied in good time to any messages and is very friendly. Highly recommend as a great place to get around the Lakes from too.

This Airbnb is wonderful and we would definitely stay again. The location is perfect - within close walking distance to the pubs and restaurants of downtown Sedbergh, yet in a quiet, peaceful spot on the edge of town right on a great walking path. It's also a good location in the sense that it's close enough to the Lake District to use as a base for exploring that area, as well as being in the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The house is clean, well-equipped, and the photos are accurate. It's a very nice place with no real negatives to mention.

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew’s place. The house is full of charm, combining historic character with modern comforts. Everything was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. The location was peaceful yet well-connected, making it a great base for exploring the Lake District. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Andrew was responsive and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area — we’d definitely stay again!

We stayed a week in Danes Court. It’s a spacious, characterful, and very peaceful Victorian Lodge. Well equipped with good WiFi in the main rooms and TVs in the lounge and bedrooms. It’s well equipped and comfortable, and we slept well in the king size bed. We enjoyed sitting out in the afternoons (weather permitting), enjoying the peace and quiet and flutter of the birds. Danes Court is easily accessed from a very quiet road. Kendal, Windermere, and Ambleside are all within 30 minutes drive, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants/pubs within 10-20 minutes drive through beautiful countryside.

Julia was a fantastic host. Really friendly and responsive, even when we locked ourselves out! The house itself is lovely - the three bedrooms are on two different floors which worked really well for our group. Lots of fab walks out of the door and a great local pub too. Would recommend!

Beautiful place with stunning surroundings. Responsive host. Well catered for. Very comfortable space with beautiful view. Use of bbq and comfy outdoor seating in the sunny weather was perfect. The place is ideally located within walking distance of local shops. Would return in a heartbeat.

Such a gorgeous stay away in Cumbria, the place was so tidy and cozy, it had everything you could need - so many amenities! It is located inbetween other buildings but still managed to feel very private, and had stunning views around. It is quite remote and is single track roads down to the property however the hosts were really clear and answered any questions about where we can park etc. It is also only a short drive to either Kendal or Windermere, so really convenient location for a nice day out! We can’t thank the hosts enough for such a lovely stay, would definitely recommend ☺️

An amazing property and beautifully presented. Everybody we met in passing on arrival was so helpful and clearly took pride in the property and wanted to make sure we were ok and happy. Sarah communicated with me quickly and clearly from booking to check in day and could not be more attentive. The location was perfect. So quiet and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay here and made amazing memories. The surroundings were stunning, and we felt right at home. We loved the cottage and the little touches made the stay even better - the brownies were to die for. Rosie was a great host, and we’d love to come back in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great from the start, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent too. Sarah, her husband, and Joey were so lovely and welcoming, and their gorgeous dog made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this stay, would love to come back!

Very enjoyable weekend at High Lowscales. The views are especially impressive, so while you enjoy a beer you look over the coast. The house is spacious and well catered for and the jacuzzi and sauna are nice touches. Mark was very responsive to a few questions and requests and gave us loads of information about the local area.

Such a lovely homely place to stay in a beautiful location and with gorgeous gardens.
