Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Chambon-sur-Lac

What a lovely old house , in a tiny peaceful village. We couldn't have had a nicer stop over on our trip from Portugal to Switzerland, and I enjoyed my birthday lazing and playing in the garden. The furnishings and kitchen are not modern, but the house is full of style and charm. Although early June, the house was cool at night and we used the amazing log burner. We were there on Whitsun Monday, and a lot of local shops and restaurants closed early, but we had a trip to the old hill top village of Usson, and bought the best ever chicken from a rotisserie in the nearby village. We didn't meet Sonia, but communication with her was very good and friendly.

The Aksent cottage is a small traditional marvel, renovated with excellent taste. The equipment necessary for a perfect stay is there, we were even able to enjoy rhododendrons in bloom in the garden. Very, very nice place!

Absolutely perfect for spending a few quiet days in an exceptional environment. The welcome is impeccable, kind. I recommend it without hesitating!

Jean-Pierre and Fabienne are a very warm and lovable guest couple. The lovingly renovated cottage offers all comforts and is sparkling clean and wonderfully quiet, located on Lac de Menet. It is an ideal starting point for excursions into the wonderful and uncrowded surroundings. We will be happy to come back!

Accommodation ideally located halfway between Puy de Sancy and Puy de Dôme. Perfect for lovers of walks and hikes. Perfect accommodation for 4, we didn't miss anything. I recommend it!

Ideal cottage for nature lovers. Ideal to unwind. As described. Sylvie and Sylvain the neighbors came to inquire about our well-being. They are particularly welcoming and caring people. Special mention for the delicious meal they have prepared for us! A haven of peace in a beautiful region that is full of fantastic natural sites (lakes, waterfalls...) and tasty local products. Nice welcome as soon as I arrive with all the small messages received before my departure for explanation. Accommodation rented to recharge my batteries in peace and quiet. Everything was perfect. Very nice environment. Cocooning house. Even if I could make a small fireplace for me. House with all the small amenities provided. I followed the tips of the proposed hikes. Hosts with great care. All good things come to an end and we had to return the keys to this beautiful cottage in Pardines and say goodbye to our more than friendly hosts. We obviously recommend this place for the Auvergne region to discover, but also for the location of the cottage and for the welcome of Danièle and Pascale. You can skip the tourist office, Pascale is inexhaustible about her region and gives excellent advice.

Warm welcome from our hosts and very comfortable house of character in a small village with an excellent restaurant and a well-stocked bakery. Several beautiful hikes around also. In short, I recommend this accommodation without worries.

Very relaxing rental with a beautiful view, not overlooked and no noise. We enjoyed the wood stove, the walls once heated keep the heat well, and we did not need to turn it on again the rest of our 3-day weekend. Many small details are very appreciable, several oils, shallots, onion. sheets towels. Large fridge, coffee pod. Comfortable couch. Car parked as close as possible without obstructing the view. Good reception of 4G, sufficient to watch a movie. Walk to the lake 4 km on foot very pleasant, but beware of ticks in June, fortunately quickly spotted, I was in shorts, better to keep the pants to walk in the tall grass in this season. Carole is a dedicated, responsive and very friendly host! She is committed to doing well. Listing is as described. Perfect for a family with small children. No hassle or Tetris to load the car because all the equipment is on site, in addition to games and toys. We had a good stay despite a reservation made the night before. We keep the address in our favorites 🤩

We had a pleasant stay at Guillaume's. The apartment is very nicely decorated, very well equipped, very comfortable. Guillaume was always available and accommodating. I would highly recommend.

Beautifully refurbished accommodation, fully customizable. Close to the hyper center, a few meters from bars and restaurants. The spa was great, the shower very pleasant and the services really perfect (Netflix, breakfast, towels and bathrobes, shower gel, coffee...) We will come back and enjoy the other services at an extra cost. Thanks

Housing as advertised, nothing to report, I recommend it!

We spent an unforgettable extended weekend in this cottage on the occasion of a cousinade. The place is beautiful and tastefully decorated. It was perfect for our whole group, couples and families with children :) The view of nature is breathtaking, and the large garden allowed us to fully enjoy every moment: swimming in the pool, meals on the terrace, evenings around the brazier... everything was there for an ideal stay! Finally, a huge thank you to Virginie, warm, available and caring, who with her family, largely contributed to the beautiful atmosphere of our stay! A place we recommend with our eyes closed and where we would happily return!

Everything was as announced, Julia gave clear advises how to reach, to enter etc. etc, During our stay it was (unexepected) very cold outside but the heating was excellent, the wood fired oven was heating greatly. Our dog loved the garden. Julia even prepared a sheet for the dog etc. Location is good to reach many places in Auvergne, Murol castle also just a few minutes to walk and the lake is also very close. Summary: Nice house, nicely equipped, everything available what needed. Super quiet surrounding / area around. Julia is a great host. (When we arrived there were flowers on the table, pick up and arranged by her daughter)

We felt very comfortable from the first moment. The house and the surroundings are exactly as in the pictures and in the description. Everything is very clean and the decor is very stylish. Carine is absolutely lovely and very helpful. If you are looking for relaxation, this house is the place to be. Highly recommended.

Extraordinary. I celebrated my 40th birthday in this castle, we were 12 adults and 12 children. Impeccable layout of the rooms, clean and in place linen, safe and very pleasant outdoor environment. Don't hesitate.

We had a lovely stay, 6 adults and 3 children (5 months, 1 year and 4 years) The house is very functional and very well-equipped. (Toys, high chairs, baby bed…) Large garden, heated pool, plancha/charcoal barbecue… everything is there. And the concierge, Nicolas, is attentive and always available.

A weekend of racing in the Puys mountain range with 8 friends in this accommodation! Everything was great! Everything to enjoy and plenty of activities within walking distance (hiking, tree climbing, golf, Charade circuit) and easily accessible by car (Puy de Dôme, Pariou, Clermont Ferrand)! We highly recommend it!

Very pleasant weekend in Christophe's accommodation, which is very well equipped and close to Château des Martinanches, where we had a wedding ceremony. The pedestrian path to get there was not maintained. Thank you so much for hosting us.
