Everything about Villa Merida is absolutely incredible. We've been lucky enough to have travelled to quite a few places and this is our favourite hotel we have ever stayed in. The villa is gorgeous. The pool and courtyard are beautiful and the room was extremely spacious, with the most comfortable bed and gorgeous decorative elements. The owner has done a wonderful job of renovating but maintaining the colonial charm. It has such thoughtful touches, such as extra towels for the pool and cenotes, a massive container of drinking water that we could fill our water bottles with that gets changed everyday, wonderful smelling toiletries. The villa itself isabout a 25 minute walk to the centre, which has all the best bars and restaurants, or a £3 Uber, and the Ubers were super easy to order. Batiste, the manager was fantastic. He gave us the best recommendations and was so helpful and responsive for any questions we had. If you're wondering whether to stay, just book it, you won't regret it!

Un agradable lugar el hospedaje ofrecido, el personal de recepción es muy muy amable y servicial, las instalaciones tal cual como se muestran en las fotos, la ubicación, muy céntrica y a dos cuadras del centro histórico. Cerca de restaurantes y tiendas, las habitaciones bien, los colchones muy cómodos y sin problemas de agua caliente. Sin duda, muy recomendable.

We stayed at the Hotel Peregrino for two nights and had a wonderful time. The historic center of Mérida is within walking distance, and the ADO bus terminal is, by car/taxi, just mere minutes away. The hotel manager was very welcoming, spoke impeccable English and supported us in anything we needed. We had booked a day trip which required us to leave before the official breakfast time, the staff was very supportive and prepared sandwiches, some fruit as well as tea for us to take on our way. We would definitely recommend Jim's place to anyone traveling to Mérida.

This was my fifth stay at Villa Mérida and it most certainly won’t be my last. It is a tranquil oasis within the heart of a beautiful and dynamic city. There aren’t words sufficient to describe how welcoming and kind the staff are, including Batiste, the gracious concierge. We were so sad that we weren’t able to catch him before our departure to say goodbye. The Villa itself is pure magic. The pool was recently upgraded with a heating system that provides the perfect temperature for a relaxing dip. The landscaping is a tropical dream come true. The kitchen is the perfect place to meet other guests, grab coffee or espresso, and prepare a quick meal if you don’t feel like venturing out. If you are lucky enough to find rooms available, book them. You won’t be disappointed!

Staying in this room in Casa Perla, connected to the Palacito Secreto boutique hotel is as cozy and comfortable as staying in your own home. It is a delight to be able to enjoy your own terrace overlooking a peaceful garden and pool. Every detail in the room and the entire property is given proper attention by the welcoming staff. I was able to work remotely for two weeks, enjoying the convenience of my own kitchenette in my own terrace so it is ideal for long-term stays. I would definitively like to stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay! Batiste, the host, and other staff were so friendly and ran the place beautifully and professionally. It was private and peaceful but there were many opportunities to connect and visit with other guests. I also arrived to the surprise that my room was renovated and had a fantastic new and bigger layout which was perfect! The area felt very safe even at night, and it was very close and accessible to anywhere I wanted to visit. If not walkable, everything was a quick Uber ride away. I would absolutely recommend Villa Merida to anyone! Thanks to Batiste & co. For a lovely vacation.

This was a return trip for us, after six years away, and the property is even more wonderful now than before. You are staying in a historic mansion in downtown Merida and you feel like this sumptuous villa is yours. The ceilings must be almost 20 feet. The gardens and courtyards are iconic tropical Mexico. And the pool — now heated! Plus a large communal kitchen where you can make coffee and breakfast in the morning. The staff is welcoming and helpful. And your are within 20-25 minute walk to the Main Plaza and other centro attractions, restaurants and bars. Phenomenal.

Piedra de Agua is lovely boutique hotel that was walking distance to most places. I loved the room and wished I stayed longer. They were accommodating in storing my luggage before the check in time/room was ready. The front desk even helped me buy my ADO ticket since I was having trouble on my phone. Amazing stay!

We loved staying at Hotel Fray Diego. The staff is fantastic--very kind, attentive, friendly. The room was quiet and clean, and the whole hotel is gorgeous. And on top of this, it's only a block and a half from the central plaza and the very heart of Mérida. Beautiful place and people!

Beautiful clean place, The AC worked great, only turned on during the night and slept very comfortably. Couple of things to keep in mind, second door rooms have any steep stairs, so for someone that has problems with stairs or too much luggage keep that in mind, otherwise stairs should not be an issue. Also this is an older beautiful building with all the amenities. Great for resting, bathroom worked great. The pool was my favorite spot, the cool water felt great after a hot day out and the garden is just beautiful quiet and calming. I would definitely book again.

Excellent, clean, quiet hotel with a cool Mérida vibe. Just a block from Mérida English Library and a few blocks more to all the restaurant and shops. Great hosts, we plan on visiting again!

I had such a beautiful experience staying here during my time in Mérida. The space itself is stunning: bright, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with everything I needed to feel right at home. What made the experience even more special was the incredible hospitality. Cesar and Angelina were genuinely attentive and kind, always checking in and making sure I had everything I needed. From the little touches to the quick responses, they made my stay feel seamless and welcoming. It was the perfect home base to unwind after exploring the city, and I’m so grateful for how well taken care of I felt. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Mérida.
