Beachfront holiday rentals in Central Java

We had a wonderful time at Ohma Alchy's place. The cottage is very spacious, the bed is lovely and so is the outdoor shower. Lovely to shower under the sun or the moon! We had a very relaxing time here: the area is nice and quiet (we were not bothered by any noise from the mosque). Koko is very friendly and helps you with everything :) The breakfast offers a lot of choice and is very tasty. The location is top: you can watch the sun set from the jetty. Also very nice that you can can canoe when you want. Not to mention the amazing dogs and sweetest cat Pillow. We already miss you! 10/10

Our host was friendly and helpful. We did a fantastic coconut oil making workshop with him. A scooter was quickly arranged and is very convenient on the island. The breakfast is simple but tasty and you can have a delicious dinner prepared with a different grilled fish every time. However, there was only one person (our host) with whom good communication was possible, but he was not always present and did not respond or slow to messages from us. The staff was benevolent, but you often didn't understand which made miscommunication easy. But all in all, we had a fantastic time there.

Jiwa Laut is a very special place, more than just a joglo at the beach, it is a hub for efforts to protect and improve the local environment and beyond. The hosts have won awards all over the world for their documentary film about plastic waste in Java and they are happy to answer any questions you might have. We visited on a Friday and had the beautiful beaches, nestling between the cliffs, more or less to ourselves. Obviously great effort is put in to keeping them beautiful and clean. The accommodation is very private and restful, full of beautiful objects. Highly recommend to order ikan bakar (bbq fish) for dinner!

Koko and his family were our hosts and they really contributed to a great stay at Karimunjawa and Omah Alchy's in particular. The location is amazing, with a beautiful view over the Java sea. When going to Karimunjawa I would 10/10 recommend this place.

Best place in karimun java to stay.

We stayed in Cemara overlooking the water, absolutely beautiful spot with the view of the still water morning and evening. Situated just outside the town so it is not too noisy. Koko is very responsive very quickly and can solve anything, tickets for the ferry, massages, island hopping on traditional fishing boat, snorkelling and the food is amazing, but worth letting them know in advance that you will be wanting to eat there to ensure the chef is available.

We enjoyed our stay at the Edge Resort very much. It is a remote place, kinda tricky to get to (be sure to have a driver with a good car as the roads are not paved and quite steep), but this was exactly what we were looking for. A couple of peaceful days by the pool with stunning views. The staff is super nice and Bernie was very communicative and even arranged some surprises as it was my partners birthday. Thank you very much and we hope to come back!

The view is just beautiful, and the entire hotel blends perfectly into the local wildlife. You can relax to the sound of the ocean and the singing of the birds. The pool also delights. Well-picked music. Food can be. Highly recommend, well worth the price!

This place is amazing! Margo and the staff are like a family, they are so friendly, warm and helpfull. The surroundings are beautiful and peacefull. A place to really come to yourself, relax and enjoy. Option for massages, acces bar session (be surprised!), good food. From here with the scooter brings you in 15 minutes to the village. And most important the houses are very cosy, clean , outside bathroom, good bed. I have no complaints and will recommend everybody to stay here! I will definitely be back!

Charming place with privacy, 15 min south of Jepara in motorbike. Very clean and tidy, many amenities to feel like home when arriving. Very appreciative about the delivery restaurant recommended. Confy bed, hot water and good breakfast, all went well. Thank you Winda!

Lovely place with even better people who’s taking care about it. You can spend all your time at Karimunjawa just at this place and you want be missing anything. Everything is new and clean they don’t use any plastic if possible which is really good specially here in Indonesia. We had just one night at Karimunjawa but we have chosen the best place on the island and for sure we will be back when we get here again. Long story short: Just choose this place.

it proved that I make a perfect choice.This place is quiet and cozy, woken by birdcall, then when u walk out the room, a beautiful sea jumps to the eyes.Especially the satff here are very helpful，thoughtful，humourous and always with smile. I am so envious of Margo，she has beautiful houses, hears waves and sea breeze when she enjoys her every meal.Someday if I find my Mr.Right I will bring him to this place and spent our honeymoon there.

A fantastic trip off the beaten path - incredible beaches without the Maldives price tag! Captain Aries and his crew make an effort to show you the best of the islands and cook delicious Indonesian food. The boat has been built in Indonesia and is homely and comfortable, with plenty of space on deck for sunbathing! Air conditioning and fans indoors ensure a good night's sleep and the guys have invested in a decent sound system! Things to bring with you aside from the obvious swimwear, sunscreen etc: Rash vests / shorts for snorkeling Dry bag Refillable water bottle (water is provided in large containers) Hat Insect repellent Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience some of the untouched beauty of Indonesia.

Alam Kita is a very special gem in Karimunjawa. First you get a family like home away from home hospitality Second the place is located in a quiet, clean area where the nature is still preserved. Third the food and the drinks are tasty Fourth the bungalows are very comfy and you feel like home away from home Fifth the cherry on the cake, if you are interested into yoga, meditation and spirituality, this is the place to be ! It has the energy, the people and the environment for it ! There are more... so we recommend to have a go. We booked first 2 nights and extended 1 more and wishing to extend again. If you want to have a private get-a-way very close to the beach in a beautiful apartment complete with a beautiful garden, this is the place for you. We stayed in one of the Seabirds apartments for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The internet was really good, as well as the service and friendship of Win and Asi. The village of Semat is also very friendly and welcoming and the closest beach warungs (cafes) have the best bit of beach - north of Seabirds. Be aware that this whole coast is a place for rubbish - but even that isn't a total put off. Seabirds is far enough away from the road to be really quiet.
