I would have liked to have been able to stay longer to fully enjoy it, but the apartment is ideally located and has all the comforts you could wish for, with a very appreciable historic character. Total calm, in the center of Caen. Thierry is caring and friendly! Totally recommend!

Ideal town center location near shops, restaurants and bars. Very large unit with room to spread out. One very large bath with shower on main floor. Another large bath with tub only on upper floor. Two bedrooms each floor. Upper floor only accessible by spiral staircase. Hosts were very helpful. Met us at arrival. Great visitor sheet including local recommendations. We tried two of those restaurants and both were excellent.

Vincent is a great host. He was very accommodating with our check-in time. He greeted us at the apartment and showed us how everything works. Very responsive to our inquiries. The apartment is less than a 2-minute walk from downtown Bayeux, spacious, and well appointed. I highly recommend this place.

As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

Very nice place in the center of Caen. Everything within walking distance easy to do, for further destinations within Caen there is a tram station right outside the door. All in all, a very nice place to be if you want to visit the city of Caen.

An atypical apartment but with charm. Well located, it has several floors (maybe not very suitable for people with mobility problems). The kitchen is very well equipped and they also left us coffee capsules, oil, salt, vinegar... Philippe, very kind. He gave us directions on where to eat and what to see and do.

David was very warm and welcoming and was quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved the house which was very spacious and comfortable for five of us. The garden was a delight with beautiful roses in bloom and it was quiet and sheltered to sit out in and listen to the birdsong. It was quite one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in.

Oh what a wonderful place for a large group. Communication with host Michael was very good both by email and in person, his English was far better than our French. The accommodation was majestic and everywhere was clean. We were a group of 12 seniors, and although a rural location was central to all the D day celebrations with the furthest beaches only 25 miles away. Great location if you are driving and want to visit the Normandy beaches. The house is exceptional and the kitchen facilities are superb. Will definitely be back.

Our group of 7 50 something men really enjoyed our 5 day stay in Normandy. Charlotte met us on arrival and showed us around the extensive house and facilities. The house was great with a well equipped kitchen, great covered and heated pool, tennis court and more. We didn't manage to make use of the bikes or canoes that were also at our disposal. Bedrooms were clean with good beds. My only criticisms would be that there was only seating for 5 in the living room, toilets did not have basins, and the directions were not great - a what.3.words location would have been really helpful. Overall, it was a great place to stay and one of our group plans to return with their family later in the year.

Sandrine and Yves were the perfect hosts from the initial booking up until we left. Nothing was too much trouble, they provided great recommendations for local restaurants. Would love to stay again, due to proximity of the lovely beach and other nearby villages worth visiting. The sea views from the house makes you feel relaxed. Also, the beautiful library and expo hall in Deauville incl restaurant is a short stroll away. i thought this place had a very clever layout: lots of (inbuilt) storage and in general a nice flow. Our boys (2 and 9) felt at home while playing on the floor, watched some tv and entertained themselves building a fort with minimal things such as cushions and bedding in the living room and childrens room, while we were preparing for a day out or making dinner. Last but not least, Audrey is the best!

We spent one perfect week at Mathieu’s place and had an absolutely terrific experience! If you’re looking for an apartment in Bayeux, this is where you want to stay, hands down. The location is perfectly situated for walking to shops, markets, and cafes in the old town center and is also centrally-located for exploring the Normandy area. The apartment is inviting, peaceful, and clean with a comfortable bed. We especially enjoy livable locations where we can hear the church bells ring, and this was no exception at Mathieu’s place since the cathedral is just down the street (with a stunning view from the family room window). The bells add to the ambiance and experience, and fear not for they don’t ring through the night so your sleep isn’t interrupted. Only good things to say about this place!

We are two couples from Quebec who wanted to visit the landing beaches and its museums. The apartment met our expectations very well: it is very well located (25 minutes' walk from the Juno Beach Museum, in particular), in a quiet area. The apartment as such is really comfortable, very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen. The bed and sofa bed are perfect, we all slept very well!
