Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Castro Daire

Wir habe zwei Tage in der Unterkunft verbracht und waren zufrieden. Die Wohnung hatte alles, was man braucht und der Außenbereich bot viel Platz. Alles war brandneu und tipptopp sauber.

Maria é super preocupada com os seus hóspedes, responde sempre às nossas perguntas Fomos recebidos pelo José uma simpatia de Senhor e muito compreensível com a nossa chegada tardia Falando da casa superou todas as minhas expectativas, casa muito acolhedora, mas o mais importante para mim foi o jardim espectacular que os meus Patudos adoraram e brincaram sempre em segurança ❤️ Na nossa saida da casa foi a Esposa de José que foi buscar as chaves e adorei a conhecer ,muito simpática Espero ter deixado tudo como encontrei Muito obrigada por tudo e até breve Pois será uma casa a voltar a visitar com mais calma Cumprimentos para todos

Charming and cozy little stone house, situated in a calm and beautiful Portuguese village surrounded by nature. The house is very well equipped and squeaky clean, appliances are pretty new as well. I was pleasantly surprised by amenities like coffee capsules, tea bags, coffee maker, electric kettle and an assortment of pastries and jam for breakfast which I don't remember being included in the listing or the photographs. The host provided also very useful information such as what to visit around the area as well as places to eat; unfortunately, my stay was very short and I didn't have the time to make use of this information, but future guests on longer stays will surely find it very useful. The check in and out process was fast, hassle free and very convenient, and the host was clear on their instructions and open to offer help. Great value for the price, it is a wonderful place to stay!

The best. That has to be the first thing I say. We have stayed at so many airbnbs and this place was just wonderful. First Sandra and Nuno went far above and beyond for hosting - they met us in person, watched our dog for us!!, brought veggies, had homemade bread ready - and were just truly the kindest people. It felt like we were visiting family not staying in an airbnb. The house is lovely - every detail is thought of and hand crafted, you can certainly feel the love for the place and the careful and beautiful renovation throughout. The backyard is a hidden gem - again, with every detail from a firepit to an outdoor shower, lounge chairs and fairy lights. We were a hop away from a main trailhead and easy access to many towns in the area. It was perfect, you even have an easy to access parking spot so you can easily navigate in and out. Highly recommend and huge thanks to our hosts! We appreciated the lovely opportunity to enjoy such nice people and a wonderful space.

I stayed 2 weeks in Fábio's Airbnb. Fábio is a helpful, friendly host who is always very easy to reach. In the apartment, you will find lots of tips for exploring the surrounding area. The apartment is a little outdated in some points, but nevertheless very cozy and lovingly furnished & decorated. The experience is authentic in a small, beautiful village with nice Portuguese neighbors. In Pendhile and the surrounding area, there are many beautiful places in nature and historical sights. A small hiking trail is located directly next to the apartment, but a small part of it was overgrown during my stay. The blinds on the windows and the air conditioning are great. There are no fly screens and no wardrobe. The "garden" is a public green space in front of the house, which is also used by a goat herder, among others. Noise transmission is high in the apartment, but the surroundings are mostly very quiet. There is enchanting birdsong around the house. Overall, I can recommend!

Five stars aren’t enough! We loved the little house. It’s charming and unique and offers all means of comfort you could wish for. We would come back there anytime! The host himself and his parents next door are the sweetest and most caring people. Even when we had questions and problems, they all went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We got support within minutes. I cannot express more how much we recommend this accomodation and how nice Bruno is. Thank you so much, this stay will be remembered 😃

Fantastic airbnb, cozy and luxurious. the contact with the host was easy and they are very friendly and let my friends stay in their campervan on the property. normally she doesn't include breakfast, but she got me a vegan breakfast, so kind! thank you very much!

O local, alojamento superou nossas espectativas, estava tudo muito limpo e organizado, tudo muito bem arrumado. Tudo funcionou e não tivemos nenhum problena em nossa estadia. Muita coisa para se conhecer por perto, o local é fácil de se achar, há local para se estacionar o carro dentro do pátio, isso ajuda muito. Gostamos muito e recomendamos. Se eu voltaria um dia? Sim com certeza. Quanto ao anfitrião, sempre foi presente quando precisamos. Nos sentimos acolhidos.

Marli is a very busy hard working person who always made time to help us and respond to questions we had. We enjoyed Armamar and Marli’s apartment. Quick access by car to the Douro River. Thank you again Marli.

Truly loved our stay at Paulo's place. Beautiful views of vinyards and hillsides with birds chirping in the trees. Paulo was friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to go and where to eat. Lovely restaurant located downstairs. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking to visit the Douro region. Train to Porto stops nearby at Aregos but don't let the short distance on the map deceive you. It's very hilly terrain and not walkable.

We loved our stay!! ! If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful area this is the place to go!! The house and the view are beautiful! Last but not least Paul was such an amazing host!!Very friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Gave us local recommendations which made our trip even better. 10/10 and absolutely recommend it :)

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. die Unterkunft ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Der Austausch mit den Gastgebern war immer sehr nett und hilfreich. Ich würde die Unterkunft wieder besuchen.

My young daughter and I stayed with Maria for two nights. The experience was absolutely incredible. The photos do not fully capture the stunning beauty of the gardens and the surrounding landscape. We felt like we were in a fairy tale. Maria was so kind to provide us with breakfast foods in the fridge with breads we could bake ourselves so they would be warm and fresh and all sorts of coffee, juice and tea. The space itself was beautifully decorated with antique furniture pieces and artwork. We still had the convenience of very fast internet which was great! The bathroom was super clean and modern, the bedroom was spacious and had everything we needed. I cannot wait to find the opportunity to come back and stay in one of the most magical places I have ever been!! Thank you Maria!!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la rencontre avec Manuel pour notre arrivée dans le logement. Ses conseils pour les visites étaient excellents. L'appartement était impeccable, nous y reviendrons sans hésitation car tout était parfait!

We had the most amazing time at Hugo and Jennys. The whole place is just beautiful. Theres a great view of the river from the terasse and the pool is so nice. The kitchen is well equipped, we found everything we needed to cook and there was plenty of fresh vegetables in the garden that we were welcome to eat. We also highly recommend trying Jennys homecooked meals- it was great being able to eat on site without having to cook ourselves, specially when travelling with young kids. The food also tasted amazing. Our kids absolutely loved the place, pool and garden. Overall we highly recommend staying at Jenny and Hugos, the surrounding langscape is beautiful, the house is incredible and Hugo and Jenny are fantastic hosts. We are definately coming back ❤️

We hadden een geweldig verblijf bij Dini. Prachtig gelegen, midden in de natuur, met mooie uitzichten, brandschoon en alle voorzieningen aanwezig (zelfs een teiltje). Dini en Antonio zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij! Ze doen er alles aan om je een aangenaam verblijf te geven. Bedankt!

Andreina foi muito prestável o apartamento é limpo e acolhedor, a localização é fantástica para quem quer passar um dias tranquilos e perto das termas, o passadiço em frente ao apartamento e ao longo do rio é muito bonito e agradável bem como a piscina mesmo ao lado que é enorme e está bem tratada e com uma temperatura da água muito agradável para as crianças.
