Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Castile and León

We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals across the world, and this was by far the most magical place we’ve ever spent a few days! Magical mountainside cottage with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Carmela provided incredible recommendations specific to our family’s varied needs and goals, including an incredible trail run. The home was so comfortable and lovely, thoughtfully and artfully appointed. Couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. Un montón de gracias, Carmela!

Acabamos de pasar un fin de semana genial en esta casa rural de Madrigal de las Altas Torres. La casa es estupenda, muy bien equipada y con todo lo necesario para sentirse como en casa. Un punto a destacar es la piscina, que fue la alegría de mis hijas. Y no puedo dejar de mencionar a Cristina, la anfitriona, que fue increíblemente amable , haciendo nuestra estancia aún más agradable. ¡Volveremos seguro!

We had a wonderful stay at Oscar’s beautiful house. It’s in a perfect location right by the river, and the house is enormous, much bigger than we anticipated. The bonus was the huge garden which was perfect for relaxing on sunny mornings. Oscar was super communicative and flexible with us and we appreciated being able to bring our dogs. Thanks again Oscar!

¡Una experiencia inmejorable! La casa de Ainhoa ha superado nuestras expectativas. Las vistas son espectaculares, especialmente al atardecer, que pudimos disfrutar de preciosas puestas de sol a través de los enormes ventanales del salón. El entorno es muy tranquilo y la ubicación es perfecta para desconectar y relajarse, pero a la vez está cerca de todo lo necesario. La calefacción funcionó de maravilla, lo que hizo que nuestra estancia fuera muy cómoda incluso en los primeros dias, que fueron más frescos. Pero, sin duda, lo mejor fue la comunicación con Ainhoa. Desde el primer momento fue muy amable, atenta y siempre dispuesta a ayudarnos con cualquier duda o recomendación. ¡Repetiremos seguro!

Nos alojamos durante un fin de semana y realmente fue una experiencia increíble. El alojamiento era sencillamente fantástico, no le faltaba detalle, muy limpio y acogedor y Gustavo especialmente atento y agradable. Muy aconsejable!

Hemos pasado unos días estupendos, la zona es preciosa y Rosa nos dio unas recomendaciones buenísimas. El archivador que tiene con todo lo que ver por la zona vale su peso en oro. Se nota que está todo hecho con gusto y mucho mimo.

This place is simply amazing! It's definitely one of the most beautiful Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. The views are incredible, the beds were very comfortable, everything was excellent. The listing did leave me a little confused as far as the number of beds available. Just to clarify, there are 3 bedrooms on the main floor: 2 have queen sized beds, and 1 has 2 sets of bunk beds that each have queens on the bottom, and a twin bed on top (so enough beds for 6 people in just that one bedroom). This place is a gem, we would love to come back!

La casa es ideal, está muy bien cuidada y equipada. El lugar es precioso y muy cómodo para grupos. Sin duda volveremos lo antes posible. Maria es súper amable. Recomendable 100%!!!

The apartment was just as described, cleaned and good location. Alicia was very communicative with us all the time.

Great communication from Mary the owners daughter who personally met us and explained everything we needed to know about the house. Every few days she checked in with me to ensure all was well. Two minor issues which were beyond the owners remit were sorted without fuss. Would highly recommend this Airbnb for large families or groups to enjoy. Thank you again Mary/Luis for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Susana's place and will very much consider coming back in the future. The property itself is lovely and peaceful. We were fortunate to get hot weather and therefore the pool was filled (which was lovely to jump into after a long hike). The garden is quiet and has great views of the surrounding mountains. Inside is also comfortable, with an equipped kitchen, comfortable sofa and plenty of space to put your holiday stuff. Location was also exactly what we were after. The nearby river is lovely either to go to and read a book, or to hike along. There's plenty in the town for a week stay if you want to grab food out etc. Susana herself was really friendly, helpful and communicative - would definitely recommend the place and we very much might be back in the future if we're in this part of Spain again.

excelente todo, la casa es grande y muy bien organizada, su punto fuerte, el patio, es increíble con la piscina y jacuzzi, zona de césped, zona chillout, etc... espectacular, no queríamos irnos de allí. la zona es preciosa, con buena comida, tranquila y con muchos sitios que visitar, pasamos un muy buen fin de semana, sin duda, repetiría

Gente muy maja y atenta, predisposición para hacer la estancia más amena y un lugar muy bonito y bien cuidado. si quieres descansar y estar en un ambiente de naturaleza tranquilo es tu sitio. espero volver algún día

Nos sentimos muy agusto en el camping, el lugar se siente super acogedor, además está todo muy bien pensado, con su ventilador, microondas, nevera, las luces para la noche porque sino no se ve nada, y también el baño muy lindo, Antonio fue muy amable con nosotros, nos explicó todo y estuvo pendiente a nuestras dudas, es una experiencia que recomendaría y repetiría sin duda!

There is so much to say about Pilar’s mountain retreat! It’s a quick 1.5 hour drive from Madrid. Her space is pure peaceful bliss with every detail thought of! Our group enjoyed playing games, watching movies on the projector screen and running and playing with our dog in the lush yard! He was in pure heaven! Segovia is a short 35 minute drive from her place. The beds were comfortable with great linens and wonderful pillows. Pilar has fluffy luxury towels and robes to enjoy. Pilar had gifts for us and the dog and everything you could possibly think of to feel comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful with a river right in front of the house where we could hear the sounds of water rushing. The grounds of the house are beautiful with roses, beautiful trees and gorgeous landscaping. Pilar was an incredible host making sure we were happy with everything! I recommend her place. It would be a magical place to visit in the colder months as well. We would love to return!

A wonderful opportunity to immserse yourself in a traditional way of life, surrounded by mountains and the lifestyle of the Pasiegos. Although the weather was not on our side, we still managed to enjoy the surroundings on foot or in the cozy cabin with wonderful views and sounds. Nick is an exceptional host - always attentive and friendly.

Increíble alojamiento, tranquilo, íntimo y con unas vistas insuperable. Pleno contacto con las naturaleza. Propietario muy amable, educado y atento pero sin ser pesado. Una experiencia de 10 super recomendable.

Het huisje is fantastisch, het is een met veel vakmanschap en liefde verbouwd gedeelte van een oude boerderij. Het ligt heel centraal ten opzichte van prachtige natuurgebieden zoals de Arribes de Douro en de Sierra de Francia. Voor vogelliefhebbers en -kenners een prima plek. Olmo is een prima gastheer, reageert snel op vragen en geeft tips over de omgeving.

We had a lovely stay. The home was remote and in a peaceful location. Perfect for some quiet and relaxation. Surrounded by hikes all around. The space was used so thoughtfully, with a lovely fireplace and great amenities that made our stay extra comfortable. Eduardo was an exceptional host. During a brief power outage, he went above and beyond to ensure we could access the house without issue. He also provided a crib, bathtub, and high chair for our baby, which was incredibly helpful. Eduardo truly embraced his role as a host—he mapped out the area for us, sent constant recommendations, and always responded quickly. The whole experience felt very zen and refreshing. We’d love to return!

We were impressed by the quality of the building and the interior, the views are incredible. As 4 adults and 3 kids we found the space to be comfortable as there are 4 bedrooms, an additional sleeping space for an older child (accessible by a staircase, the kids loved it) and 2 bathrooms. It was difficult to get the fire going and keep it alive (a combination of air pressure in the mountains, wood characteristics and our general ineptness). Also, my advice to future guests would be not to arrive at night, as it took us a while to find the exact building (there are several, as it turned out). All in all, we enjoyed this trip immensely, highly recommended.
