Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cannaregio, Venice

It was a great place, at a walking distance from from the main railway station, among all happening places of Venice, everything at a walking distance, full of hustle and bustle during tourist season, well equipped with all necessary amenities, the host gave very good advice for local eatries and shopping.

Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable en casa de Tommaso. Nos ayudo a llegar desde el aeropuerto hasta el apartamento y nos recibió él. También nos indicó dónde podiamos dejas las maletas ya que no pudimos hacer un check-out más tarde de las 10:00 a.m. Nos dió consejos de dónde comer y qué visitar. Hicimos una excursión con él en su barco y fue estupendo. Nos enseñó los mejores lugares y nos contó un montón de anecdotas e historias. Lo recomiendo 100%.

We really enjoyed this spot. Easy to find with a vaporetto stop very close by. As a family of 5, we had plenty of space. The place was easy to find. Restaurants are close by but also easy to walk to everything. Host was quick to respond and answer questions. Check in was smooth - just text upon landing and they will meet you. We enjoyed this area and would stay again.

Really good apartment for us. Beautifully clean and well equipped. Close to shops. yet quiet and walking distance to main places of interest. Jacek was very helpful with instructions and communicated readily with us.

Wonderfully quiet and quaint spot in Venice! Easy to walk to all the sites and loved being right on the water with access to the water buses and airport shuttle. The space itself is so lovely and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend!!

This stay makes 5 weeks we have spent in this Airbnb. I can honestly say there is nothing I would change about it. Everything you could need is provided and everything works like a charm. Our stay exceeded expectations – the accommodation was even nicer than in the photos, clean, and very comfortable. The location was perfect: close to shops, bars, and restaurants, yet quiet enough to relax and get a good night’s sleep. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily come back:)

We have just arrived home after a wonderful 5 days in Venice. The apartment was immaculate and beautiful location on a canal. Paolo the host could not do enough for us. He helped with our transfer from the airport and booked our water taxi transfer back to the airport. He met us as soon as we arrived to make sure we found the apartment and even though we were early we were able to store our bags in the apartment. Paolo then showed us where the local restaurants were. We ate in this area a number of times. Lovely restaurants. I would 100% recommend this accommodation. It is of high spec with added special touches like a welcome food pack and extra pillows. Beds are very comfortable and it’s nice to have the courtyard too. Only about 25 minute walk to St Mark’s Square. Do not hesitate to book this apartment. Thank Paolo for a lovely stay.

This is a wonderful apartment in a quite area. It is very comfortable and is just as pictured. We loved our daily view from the balcony. Very walkable location to the main areas (15-20 min to main area). There are many places to eat and shop nearby. Please note there are no elevators. I simply filled my extra carry on at the base of the stairs to make it easier for me to get the luggage up the stairs. Be sure to follow their clear instructions to get to the apartment…. Definitely take their instructions for the Valporetti Ferry. It brings you just 3 minutes away from their location. Avoid walking from the train station because you will encounter many bridges with no ramps.. not fun! The air runs from the living room so we kept the bedroom door open to keep it cooler. The couch in the living room pulls out into a bed. There is a full kitchen and washer… everything was very clean. It had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights and would definitely stay again. The location was excellent! We were away from the crowds but very close to excellent restaurants, beautiful views and 5-10 minute walk from the heart of the city. The apartment was quiet, clean and just perfect for a long weekend.

Martina was a wonderful host! She is kind and responsive. Her place was artfully decorated and comfortable. We loved the details and the beautiful surroundings. It was so accessible from the train and other modes of transport. It was a truly Venetian experience to be in her quiet apartment. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent appartement avec air climatisé, grand et très propre. Proprio très accueillant et flexible. Très facile d’accès depuis l’aéroport et à distance raisonnable de marche pour se rendre à la place St-Marc. Quartier paisible avec une épicerie très proche et d’excellents restos. Bref, un appartement que nous louerons sans hésitation lors d’un prochain voyage à Venise.

Ilaria and Andrea’s place was absolutely amazing. It’s perfect location and being right on the canal you will see gondolas and boats going by all day. The place has incredible interior design and it has everything necessary for a great stay in Venice. A special thank you to Ilaria for setting up our water taxi to take us back to the airport at 4 am.

We enjoyed the apartment very much! The location, the old building, the canal right at our front door, the patio in the back, the easy walk to almost anywhere, quieter area than the main tourist sites - all of it made for an enjoyable and memorable stay!

Great place to stay right off the canals and a waterbus stop. We communicated with a friend or assistant of Michael's and she was very helpful!

This is a beautiful, wonderfully decorated home in a quiet neighborhood with amazing restaurants nearby. Alessandro is an incredible host who made our time in Venice unforgettable and we would absolutely love to stay here again. I would give this Airbnb and Alessandro 6 stars if I could.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 5 jours dans cet appartement très bien situé, dans le quartier calme et agréable de Cannaregio. L’appartement est confortable, parfaitement conforme à l’annonce, et surtout très calme — un vrai plus à Venise ! La communication avec les hôtes a été fluide et réactive. Un grand merci à Gaby pour l’accueil chaleureux et les nombreuses bonnes adresses partagées à notre arrivée. Nous recommandons vivement cette location et y reviendrions avec plaisir !

We had a truly lovely stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Pietro and Caterina were warm, welcoming, and very responsive hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering great recommendations for local food and activities. The location was ideal—peaceful yet close to everything we needed. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space. Highly recommended—we hope to return!

Alessandro was a great host. He was very responsive, proactively communicated and made our stay stress free and enjoyable. Apartment is located close to the train station but also in the heart of all the activities. Alessandro was very kind and he let us check in early in unbearable heat. I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed in Fabiola's apartment for one night and only negative was not having more time to spend at least another day exploring the city! Very nice location, a few steps away from the canal but close to plenty nearby cafes and restaurants. We took the Alilaguna straight from the airport to Guglie which was convenient even with 3 kids and luggage 😊 Fabiola had arranged an easy check-in proactively. Spacious place for two but as we spent very little time inside it was enough for 5 as well. Baby bed, super nice bathroom, clean kitchen and access direct from the street. All in all very neat but still authentic Venice feel 😊

Alessandra’s apartment was in a very quiet neighborhood. It’s about 10 to 12 minutes from the train station and it’s very easy find. There are lots of very good restaurants in the area. I suggest getting a pass if you’re there for more than a day for the vaporetto’s. It allows multiple rides for one price and it makes it a little easier to get around plus you get a beautiful view of the city from the canals. Walking also preferable if it’s not too hot. Alessandra’s apartment was perfect. We have recommended it to other people we know. If we ever come back to Venice, I would definitely recommend staying here as it was a perfect location. Alessandra made our stay perfect. I suggest also taking a pre-booked tour to avoid the lines and crowds.

The Apartment is at such a tranquil location, away from the tourist crowds, total local residential area. Clean and spacious with lots of amenities, feeling very comfortable during the stay! Gianluigi is a warm and kind host, communicates quickly. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.

I had a fantastic stay in Venice! The location of the apartment was absolutely perfect—just a 2-minute walk from the train station, which made getting around super convenient. It was also very easy to catch a vaporetto (water bus), and there were plenty of great restaurants nearby. The apartment was well-equipped with everything I needed to cook, including a dining table and all the necessary kitchen utensils. It really felt like a home away from home. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice!
