Yahaya is a great host! He invited me to have local breakfast with him and drove me around. His place is comfortable and clean. His house is next to Mbale in a village, but Mbale downtown is not far away either. Getting to his place can be tricky, but Yahaya answer you fast if you do not know how to get to his place because in Uganda sometimes Google Map is not that accurate. However, the Islamic University is NEAR Yahaya's place. You will be fine in the process of checking-in because the host will make sure you get to his place in a smoothly way. ¡El anfitrión es genial! La casa está en un pueblecito al lado de Mbale. No es en Mbale, pero muy cerca de la ciudad. La habitación es comfortable, limpia y barata. Te recomiendo este lugar o anfitrión é muito amável! A casa é num povo perto de Mbale, mas não longe du centro da cidade. Le hôte est sympa e chez lui e localisé dans le village à côté de Mbale. J'ai aimé chez Yahaya.

Its a great affordable place to stay with good food and easy access to the town and Sipi fall sites. Weather is so cool and its so quiet and peaceful.

Had such a fantastic time in Mbale - really can’t recommend Jane’s place enough. Jane and her family were kind and welcoming, and invited me to have dinner with them. The house was beautiful, and my room was large and spotlessly clean. Jane’s lovely housekeeper also took great care of me, making me breakfast each morning, and Jane even gave me a lift to the bus station when it was time to go. Thank you for a lovely visit!

Comfortable room at a good price.

Die Zeit in der Unterkunft war wirklich ein einzigartiges Erlebnis. Wir wurden unfassbar nett aufgenommen und man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt. Wir wurden in Mbale von Peter abgeholt (18USD), eine Anreise mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln wäre vermutlich höchst kompliziert. Es gab jeden Tag 3 Mahlzeiten und jederzeit Wasser und Obst, das Essen war immer frisch gekocht, lokal und besonders lecker. Das Airbnb ist eng angegliedert an eine christliche Community, in die man nett aufgenommen wird, es wurde ein Programm für uns geplant. In den weiteren Zimmern leben in der Regel Freiwillige, die in Klinik und Kirche unterstützen. Die bergige Gegend ist beeindruckend und man kann gut wandern und umwerfende Sonnenuntergänge betrachten.

Wir waren zwei Tage und eine Nacht. Wir wollten die Sipi Falls und den Mount Egon erkunden. Der Gastgeber und seine Frau waren sehr freundlich und haben die zwei Trips super organisiert. Das Essen ist nicht im Preis inklusive und wird von der Frau selbst zubereitet. Der Ort ist ruhig und der Einrichtungsstyle ist wirklich top! In der Nähe gibt es kleine Shops, wine Bank und man kommt überall gut hin, da es in der Nähe der Hauptstraße ist. Kann ich jedem empfehlen.

We had a lovely stay at Rosemary's, so much so that we ended up coming back twice more! The exterior is painted a delightful shade of pink. Rooms are simple and clean, with hot showers. There's a great view of the Wanale ridge from the back of the hotel. All the staff were lovely and Rosemary herself is an absolute angel. Breakfast was superb and very generous. We thought it was good value and look forward to coming again! It is quite close to a nightclub that sometimes plays quite loud music, so bear that in mind if you want an early night and bring earplugs. In our experience though it wasn't pumping every night and when it was it didn't go on much later than midnight.
