What a wonderful place to stay!! It was incredible to wake up and look out into the jungle and the open air bathroom was beautiful. The beds were comfy and the mozzie nets gave a feeling of security. There were quite a few mosquitoes, but this can’t be helped with the location. The onsite staff were so welcoming and kind, and we enjoyed chatting to them. The meals were good, maybe a little tailored for the western palate. The watermelon juice and lime juice were delicious!!

Beautiful surroundings with sea , love the staff there, very friendly and welcoming. I love the coral reef and definitely enjoy and able to swim freely. The area are clean and would come back again🙆🏻‍♀️

We had fun at the Kudat beach house.we had the place all to ourselves since we were the only guest at that time.The best part was the beach is just in front of our beach house easy for us to monitor our childrens.Such a beautiful beach, clean and private. The stray dogs are friendly who keep our company during the night which makes us feel safe.We would have stayed longer if we didn't booked another place in Kundasang the next day. Ivan was great too and always responsive. We miss the waves sound and wish we could go there again someday.🤞

The staff at Noira cottages couldn't speak English, but with Google translate we were able to communicate quite well. Ross is the air BNB host however the cottages are owned by Rivi. we were able to speak with Rivi directly to organise a charter to get off the island early (before public boat departure) in order to catch a flight from Berau. very relaxed vibe and lovely place to stay

Staying at The Culvert is a unique experience. The location is amazing. You feel like you are in the jungle, with everything that comes with that. You have to navigate your way up and down uneven steps and you have to be prepared for the mosquitoes. The hotel provides spray for a very low price if you don't bring your own. Also be aware that the door to the room does not seal, there is a gap, so you truly are one with nature and the Seaview rooms have a separate (private) bathroom that you have to come out of the room to access. The room itself is small, so only suitable for one person or a couple. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable, as are the pillows. The staff was very friendly and the girls at the restaurant were really nice and accommodating. The beach is beautiful to view the sunset from but this time of the year it's not really possible to swim as the water is very far away during the day. But a great walk by the beach.

If you are looking for a paradise, this is it. Ly and Lia are the best hosts, kind, helpful and very interesting to share time with! The views of the water from the accommodation, the jetty with direct access to the water and specially all the amazing turtles everywhere right in the same beach of Jade Homestay!!! I would say it is like a cabin in a forest experience. The toilet is very well taken care of with bathtub provided to calm myself in a pool of warm water. It was a calming experience away from the bustling city. Love the atmosphere, very refreshing.

We had such a good time at the Bigfin. Staff was super kind, food was delicious and the surroundings are beautiful. We had stormy weather the entire week but we didn't mind, it's also a great place to relax. Saddening though to see how much plastic washes up at the shores :(
