Cheia village is located in the heart of the Apuseni Mountains of Transylvania, right next to the beautiful Râmeț Gorges (Cheile Râmețului) and three other scenic gorges. We are surrounded by forests, majestic mountains, and wild landscapes. The guesthouse is a renovated, original thatched house from the 19th century. Our place is remote and can be reached on foot via a marked trail or by 4x4 in dry weather, with proper tires. We can also arrange transport by car from Brădeşti to our location.

Newly restored and converted barn, a magical space with lovely views of the surrounding mountains and hills. The barn is ideal for 2-3 people, but can accomodate a maximum of 5, with a double, a single and a sofa bed (access to sleeping space requires climbing stairs or a ladder). 20 metres from the barn, there is wood and a fireplace for an evening chat and stargazing by the fire. An outdoor shower with solar heated water is also available. The kitchen is functional and has amazing views!

The location is very pleasant and the quality-price ratio is f ok. If you come to a group of 5 people you will need a cooler...the refrigerator is quite small. Very nice place to forget about city life!

This stay exceeded our expectations for hospitality. Beautiful everything, starting with the inside of the house and continuing with the surroundings. Everything one would like to have in a vacation house, large inviting living room beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, well equipped bathroom on suite with each of the bedrooms, well furnished spacious terrace, excellent sauna and jacuzzi. Truly a gem of a vacation home away from home. Highly recommend this property not only for the awesome amenities but for personal touch hospitality it offers.

The holiday home offered by Dragos is a paradise for families with children. The yard is full of games and activities for the little ones, which will keep them busy while the parents relax at a barbecue or by reading a book from the rich library. Dragos is an exceptional host. S. insured to provide all the necessary information from the moment of booking. Moreover, he also offered us a night of accommodation completely free of charge. The house is modern, freshly renovated with good taste, spacious and extremely clean. Overall, a 5-star stay, no doubt!

I loved my stay! The house is adorable, with a charming retro style with wooden furnishings, and it’s maintained so well. Also, very warm. The little village has a cozy atmosphere, is exceptionally clean, and quiet—I truly appreciated it. There are plenty of outdoor activities to do nearby, and my dog was incredibly happy! I dined several times in Alba Iulia, which is about a 15-20 minute drive away, but there are also shops in the village for food if you don't wanna go out, and closer restaurants if you don't wanna drive. I liked the proximity to the highway, it makes it easy to take quick day trips to many lovely cities if you miss city life. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to enjoy nature and breathe in the fresh air. The host, Dan, was also helpful with anything I needed and quick to answer. Truly recommending!

The location is very beautiful (at 900m altitude) and the cottage had all the necessary amenities. For cooking there is no oven, but there is the stove with a kettle outside and barbecue + electric stove for in the house, which for us was enough. To get to the upstairs bedrooms, the climb is on an outdoor staircase. We were in the family, and for older people the staircase must be used carefully (it is built very well, it's just the idea of going up and down every day and the attention not to become unbalanced). I didn't have a phone signal (on Vodafone), but there was wifi. The hosts were very welcoming and we communicated very easily. For a vacation where we wanted it to be quiet, to be broken by the everyday and to enjoy nature, it was a very good choice.

The house is amazing. It matches the description and photos and is actually bigger than it looks in them. Can very well sleep at least 6 persons. They even had 2 bycicles if you want to explore the city that way. The location is very good, 5 min of walking and you are inside the citadel. Definitely recommend it.
