Had an incredible stay at Skylark cabin. Liz and Garry were wonderful hosts, communicated extremely well and answered all of our questions. The cabin itself was a dream, every detail has been thought through. Extra added touches with a cheese board on arrival, and a little birthday gift for my partner. Couldn’t recommend more!

Absolutely stunning property in a great location as a base for Lake Pukaki/Mt Cook etc. we were very lucky to witness snowfall which made staying here such a magical experience. Property is exactly as pictured and described - super cosy with good heating during winter too.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable New Zealand experience, don’t miss out on staying at Jana’s cottage! It’s stunning beyond words, and I’d love to come back again someday.

This place is fantastic. The hits are wonderfully set out in private locations. They are clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable and the hot tub is highly recommended. We would definitely stay again of we were passing through Fairlie.

Fantastic place to stay! Located close to Lake Tekapo and lots of other beautiful locations. The house is in a dark sky area and without clouds would offer spectacular views of the night sky whilst enjoying the hot tub. We had everything we needed and would highly recommend this quirky house and had great fun exploring the area and playing the games in the upstairs room. Thank you so much 😊

Loved turning up on cold winters day to the hut where they had stoked up the fire before we arrived so it was very cosy....and fired up the hot tubs so we could enjoy these too! Many thanks for an enjoyable stay :)

This place is a must stay! The bath outside under the stars is incredible, the quiet peaceful location is just what you need for an escape. Robyn and Dan were excellent hosts, quick to respond, had lots of local recommendations, and they made us feel very welcome. The house was very clean, had every amenity we needed, the softest bathrobes, and the welcome champagne paired nicely with a bath under the stars. This stay was the start of our anniversary trip around New Zealand and it was the perfect start to our trip!

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Your cabin is as you describe but the view and surrounds are just next level! We loved the flexibility to spend our time either in the mountains, on the numerous walks or just with a cheese platter, a lovely Pinot and looking out at the views from every window (even from the bath). We will definitely stay again!

This place is ideal if you're after privacy, peace, and beautiful mountain views. We chose it as our base to explore Mount Cook, Lake Pukaki, and Lake Tekapo, and it was exactly what we were looking for - quiet and tranquil. The house itself was perfect. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The fireplace was sufficient to heat up the house, and the heated blanket in the bedroom was very appreciated during our stay in the winter! The kitchen was impressively well-stocked with all the basics, and we were able to cook several meals comfortably. Alicia was a fantastic host - very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The nearest town, Twizel, is just a 10-minute drive away and has a well-stocked supermarket plus a few good dining options. Just a note: it's about an hour’s drive to Tekapo, so if you're planning any nighttime activities there and prefer not to drive in the dark that's something to consider. We didn't find that to be a problem though.

Another amazing stay at this home, this was our third trip. Highly recommended. Beautiful location, peaceful and feels like the middle of nowhere whilst only being a short drive to town. Cosy house, amazing fire, lovely bathroom. Everything you need and more for a wonderful stay and Christine is super lovely and responsive to messages. Thanks again. No doubt we’ll be back!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was nice and cozy, conveniently located near restaurants (within 2km), and the internet was great. It truly had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Twizel in the future!

Amazing view. The fireplace kept us warm all night. Chopping wood was easier than expected. Everything was perfect.

The Best Air BnB we have ever been too. A very special place in NZ. Has everything you need if you want to be set away from the world. If you want walks views and peace this place is the one.
