Family-friendly holiday rentals in Åsane

Two colleagues used the place for collaborative work on a writing project and had a great stay.

What a lovely stay! The farm is so peaceful. We went with friends and our 13 month old daughter who loved seeing the sheep, and running around the yard. The place was fantastic for kids (high chair, crib, toys). We had the best time walking around the property, cooking delicious food, going in the hot tub and we even took the boat out for a special trip! There’s a sauna 10 minutes down the road which was a treat. Easy 1 hour drive from Bergen. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 13 people and had a wonderful time! :) (even saw some Northern Lights!!) Definitely recommend the place:)

Jannike was friendly, helpful and kind. She was very communicative in advance of our stay as well as during the stay and had some brilliant recommendations. At all times she was wanting the best for our stay and was quick to reply and help wherever necessary. We would love to come back and the whole stay was a delight!

A very nice location, we used the boat and kayaks a lot and of course also caught fish. Jan responds very quickly. Everything is present in the house and we have enjoyed it very much with our family.

I had a wonderful stay at Jarle's home. The location is absolutely fantastic, nestled in a peaceful spot with breathtaking views of the fjords and surrounding mountains. It truly felt like an escape into nature. Getting there was a breeze thanks to the detailed instructions provided by the host, which made the whole experience stress-free from the start. The house itself was cozy and very well equipped – everything we needed was right there, making it feel like a true home away from home. Jarle was exceptionally kind and attentive, always just a message away if I had a question. It is clear he and his wife genuinely care about their guests' comfort and experience. That said, the place does have a lived-in feel, so if you're looking for a more impersonal or hotel-like stay, this might not be the perfect fit. But if you appreciate character, comfort, and a sense of being welcomed into someone’s home, you’ll love it here. Overall, a truly memorable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

Cabin was clean, was surprised to have to pay extra for sheets - only that my daughter noticed it on the listing a few days before otherwise we would have arrived and there would have been none. area is quiet, apart from the hotel that really only opens on the weekend in June (limited set menu Mon-Fri) there are no other restaurants so you have to cook yourself. Cleaning fee is a bit steep considering the amount of cleaning that is expected by the host - very long ist of jobs - essentially leave it exactly as you found it so at a loss as to what the actual fee covers! apart from those small issues the place was beautifiu and Bjarne responded quickly when contacted.

Our stay was great. The house has an amazing view and it is perfectly clean. It has everything you need. The neighborhood is residential and very quiet. We were more than happy!

We had a wonderful time at Turid’s cabin. Truly incredible space, comfortable and cozy. Lots of things to do inside and outside the house. We rented one of the boats and had a beautiful couple of days out on the fjord. Turid and Audun also gifted us some very fresh eggs from their farm, were available at all times and helped us with recommendations and any questions we had. We loved it. We will return. A very magical place. 10/10

Great location - close to center but in a very quiet and peaceful area. The apartment was very nice and looks just like the pictures!

We had a great stay at Håkon’s house for our 1-day trip to Bergen. The house is located on a relatively quiet street, which mostly has pedestrian and bike/e-scooter traffic. This also means that there is no parking options right next to the house, however, we found several parking options close by, so this turned out to not be much of an issue for us. The house was clean and comfortable and featured all the amenities we would usually expect. When considering this house, please be aware that all bedrooms are on the second floor and the stairs going up to these are steep - hence, if anyone in the group has walking difficulties, this could be a problem. Otherwise, we would fully recommend this house to other people traveling to Bergen.

We had a great holiday staying at Katerina's apartment. lovely walks nearby, good bus links into Bergen and supermarkets nearby. both Katarina and Jarle were great sources of information and very attentive. Thank you.

On a good summer day, you will have to search for a more idyllic place!

Therese’s apartment was very comfortable and well equipped for eating in or having a lazy morning at the apt. All our activities were within walking distance. We also enjoyed neighborhood restaurants and beautiful enjoying sunsets off the balcony. Therese was very responsive to any of our needs.

Christen is unlike any other host. He met me at the bus stop and helped me with the luggage. He has a handwritten book of recommendations on where to eat and what to do, along with helpful instructions for the stay. He had left a bottle of wine, and cookies and coffee for me, which was very thoughtful. The place is super walkable to the city centre and the tour/airport bus stops. While central, it’s also tucked away from all the city centre madness and thereby offers a quiet and relaxing place to stay after a busy day of exploring the beauty of Norway. Christen was very friendly, flexible and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a central place to stay in Bergen (as long as they don’t mind climbing up a few flight of stairs). Thanks for the lovely time in Bergen, Christen! Hope to stay here again when my travels bring me back to the incredibly beautiful city of Bergen. :) Cheers!

Wonderful view, big house, much space, perfect place to relax and to visit Bergen.

Perfect place for a family. Rebekka was a perfect host, even leaving us a welcome gift. The place is well located for outdoor activities though there are not stores or restaurants in walking distance (we were fine with this). The place was spotless and the kitchen had everything need to prepare all your meals in house. A comprehensive notebook was provided covering the property, area activities including shops and restaurants, and guidance for checking out. Rebekka was hyper responsive making it a painless experience.

This location is in the middle of great restaurants and bars but far enough out to be quiet and good nights sleep. Host is very descriptive in her directions and super responsive. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay again if back in Bergen.

I had an easy and enjoyable stay - easy to get into Bergen. 10min walk to the bus with regular busses until late. When I needed peace, quiet and a home cooked meal - Ivar Oles placed was perfect for that :)

We had a wonderful time at Benediktes place in Bergen. The apartment is beautiful and cozy and the view is stunning. There are many hiking trails waiting at the doorstep. Benedikte is absolutely friendly and the check-in, communication and renting were very uncomplicated. We would definitely come back!

Our stay at Sylvelin’s was incredible from the moment we arrived until the day we had to leave. The cabin is cozy and we so enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evenings. The farm is a joy and we loved seeing the baby lambs since it was spring. They invited us to watch the sheep be sheered and let our children play with all of the toy equipment outside. The cabin is about 35 minutes drive from Bergen and we were able to get there and other outdoor places easily. I can’t recommend this Airbnb more.

Kristiyana is great and the apartment is too! We had a minor tv problem and Kristiyana was there in a flash to fix it with a smile. Her suggestions were amazing and the LOCATION is perfect. It’s quiet despite being only an eight minute walk from Bergen’s active, historic, bustling and enchanting waterfront area. She suggested the trip to Rosendal by boat and the history of the Barony there from the late 1600’s, the manicured gardens and amazing food are all first rate. We were VERY happy with this experience!!

We had an amazing stay at Helene’s small beautiful farm. We loved everything about our stay: the little cute cabin, the baby lambs and their moms nearby, and wow the rushing creek, old saw mill, and the available canoe with the enormous, gorgeous lake to paddle on made the visit unbelievably beautiful. The refrigerator in the cabin was helpful as was the modern bathroom in the barn. The old stove was fun to cook on and we loved having a wood fire outside too. Note to other visitors: This is an active, working farm—a great place to relax and learn and you will also get a little muddy.

Beautiful Airbnb in an outstanding location. The views from the apartment out over the fjord are incredible and the village is very peaceful. The apartment itself is clean and well kept and has everything you will need for a pleasant stay. Randy was super helpful and always quick to reply - you can tell he is very passionate about his Airbnb and his home area. Wonderful stay.
