Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Apennine Mountains

Paolo is a great host! Our party arrived at different times and he made sure we all got in to the apartment without issues. The apartment itself is exactly as described and in a great location, within a 5 to 10 minute walk to Trastevere, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Campo Fiori, and many other sites, and within a 20 minute walk to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, and Colosseum area. Being so centrally located we were able to walk practicality everywhere we wanted to go. Great location and great host.

Sonia is the best! She is incredibly considerate and kind, and the information she provided was extremely helpful. Her recommendations for restaurants and the ice cream place were spot-on, and the nearby taxi station was very convenient. The apartment itself was clean, beautifully decorated, and in a fantastic location—easy to access many attractions. Before heading to the airport, I spent 30 minutes on the flower balcony - perfectly wrapped up my wonderful trip to Rome. Highly recommend staying here!

L’appartamento di Nathalie è il piú bello in cui siamo mai stati. La casa è bellissima, pulita, cómoda. Ci vivrei assolutamente. Nathalie ci ha permesso lasciare le valigie prima a anche fare il check in in anticipo. Ti aiuta anche per prendere un taxi all’ alba. Ci torneremo di sicuro!!!! Grazie Nathalie!

Staying at Baggio’s place was an absolute delight! From the moment we booked, Eddy was incredibly attentive and communicative, making sure our stay was seamless. The Airbnb itself was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The location was unbeatable—close to all the sights while still offering a peaceful retreat. If you’re looking for a host who truly cares and an accommodation that exceeds expectations, look no further. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this place! The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the old town, but the place itself is on a very quiet non-touristic street. There are also lots of restaurants, bakeries, and shops in walking distance - and indeed you can walk right out into the sea! The swimming area is really amazing, it's a slightly sheltered area so it felt really safe to swim there even when the sea was wavy. We also really liked the furniture and decor, it looks better in real life than in the photos. Everything was super clean as well. The view from the terrace is wonderful, and the view while swimming is amazing too. The terrace also has an awning so we were able to use it all day. Lana was an excellent host, we had the place to ourselves of course but she was super communicative before we arrived with information, instructions, and offering us advice. Everything was super clear and she was really friendly!

Beautiful clean place with comfortable beds. They had a nice kitchen and great views from the balcony. Perfect location for walking around.

Die Unterkunft lag sehr privat am Dorfrand. Man muss mit dem Auto einen schmalen, kurvigen und teilweise steilen Weg entlang fahren. Zum Glück gab es nie Gegenverkehr und die Nachbarn verhielten sich zuvorkommend. Dafür ist der Außenbereich sehr ruhig und idyllisch, fast paradiesisch. Das Highlight ist der private Pool mit zauberhafter Aussicht. Die Gastgeber wohnen direkt unter der Wohnung, aber das ist ein Vorteil, da es die Kommunikation sehr erleichtert. Außerdem haben sie zwei tolle Hunde. Mirko hat uns gute Tipps für Ausflüge und Parkmöglichkeiten gegeben, was unseren Urlaub bereichert hat. Die Wohnung hat eine ausreichende Größe und sie ist so eingerichtet, dass man sich direkt zuhause fühlt. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Urlaub und die Unterkunft hat einen großen Teil dazu beigetragen.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful apartment in Rome — the location is truly unbeatable, with stunning views overlooking the Colosseum! Waking up to that sight every morning was such a treat. Elena and Barbara were fantastic hosts — super friendly, responsive, and helpful. They shared some excellent local recommendations that really added to our experience and helped us discover a few hidden gems we might have missed otherwise. Even though we didn’t need anything during our stay, it was so reassuring to know they were just a message away. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and a perfect home base for exploring the city. One of our favorite moments was sitting on the balcony at night, sipping a glass of wine and listening to the wonderful music drifting up from the street below — absolutely magical. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome! Thank you Elena and Barbara

We had a quick stop in Pisa so Pauline’s place was perfect. Good walk from train station and to the Tower. Pizzeria just across from the outside door was spectacular. Very friendly and close when you are just beat from a day of travel. Pauline’s apartment was clean and ready for us. AC was great for the little heat wave we had. Slept great. I had all of the amenities I needed for my stay at Marina's apartment and could not fault anything at all. I had asked for some restaurant recommendations and Marina was responsive and helpful in providing these. In addition, she recommended some places to visit whilst in Bologna. All very useful. Nothing was too much bother for Marina. She greeted me on arrival and came across as friendly and we run through any questions I had. The apartment was clean and is centrally located in Bologna. I could not have wished for me.

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in het appartement van Andrea. Alles zag er schoon en mooi uit. Appartement was van alle gemakken voorzien. Grote supermarkt in de buurt maar ook allerlei kleinere winkeltjes. Vanaf appartement is het beloopbaar naar het centrum, maar met de bus is het nog prettiger, zeker als je al veel hebt gelopen in het centrum. Andrea is een fantastische host. Hij heet je welkom bij het appartement, leidt je even rond. Daarbij laat hij zien hoe het één en ander werkt. Tevens krijg je tips voor fijne eetgelegenheden. Ook wees hij ons op de feestdag van de heilige Johannes en wat er op die dag allemaal te doen was in het centrum. Andrea is heel benaderbaar en reageert snel op eventuele vragen die je hebt. We bevelen Andrea’s appartement van harte aan en komen graag terug als we Florence nog is zouden bezoeken.

This is a gem in the heart of Lucca. The apartment is super comfortable and has excellent views of rooftops and towers. The location is excellent closed to all worthy sites in Lucca yet very quiet and peaceful. The building has a great elevator which is a big plus given the top floor location. Salvatore is a great host, very responsive, and accommodating. I would love to return to Salvatore’s place for a longer stay sometime in the future.

Perfectly located vintage decorated home within walking distance of historic center of Siena. We spent a month here and used her place as a center base to discover Tuscany. Close to shopping and restaurants. WiFi is excellent as my husband worked remotely for a few days a week. Kitchenette and washing machine were a big help as we cooked a few nights staying in. Mattress is very comfy and the apartment is very quiet. Church bells rang daily and drummers in the contrade practice for parades and Palio. Experience Medieval Siena here. We were very comfortable in Grazia’s place. Nice to have a 1/2 bath on main level, as bedroom and bathroom with shower is on the upper level. Grazia provides everything you could possibly want and has excellent suggestions for places to eat and sights to visit. She was indispensable helping us always responding within minutes if we had a question or needed help. Perfect place for the Tuscan vacation! Grazia is a wonderful and caring host!

Die U terkunft entspricht genau den Fotos und der Beschreibung. Wir kamen ein bisschen später an als gedacht und Flavio war sehr flexibel und ist dann auf die abgemachte Zeit mit den Schlüsseln gekommen und hat uns alles erklärt. Die Unterkunft hat alles was man zum kochen, schlafen etc. Braucht. Sie liegt in einem ruhigen Viertel und die Altstadt sowie der Bahbhof Bracciano ist sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar und innerhalb einer Stunde kommt man mit dem Zug nach Rom. Als die Stadt kurzfristig einen Wasserunterbruch angesagt hat, hat uns Flavio informiert und abends sogar noch einen Kanister vorbeigebracht was sehr lieb war. Wir waren rundum zufrieden, vielen Dank und gerne ein anderes Mal wieder :).

The place is great and accurately described. Super walkable (to different neighborhoods too) and easy to access. Michelle was great and super helpful. FYI, the washer/dryer is a combined unit so loads can take awhile.

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine en famille en Toscane. La maison était parfaite, grande, bien équipée, climatisée avec une piscine et espaces extérieurs pour diner au frais. Patrizia est une superbe hote de bon conseil et discrète. Nous avons apprécié l authenticité de cette maison Toscane dont les murs ont 500 ans. Nous étions proches des belles villes toscanes. Je recommande cette belle maison pour une immersion typique en Toscane

Tutto perfetto, luogo super accogliente e bellissimo. Isabella e la sua famiglia ci ha accolti al meglio e soddisfatto tutte le nostre richieste durante la nostra GTE dell'elba. Appartamento pulitissimo, accogliente con piscina fantastica, luogo incantevole e ben tenuto. Grazie ancora per l'ospitalità e aver soddisfatto le nostre richieste

Nous avons passé 5 nuits chez Paolo (appartement pour 4 personnes). Un havre de paix : une immense piscine parfaitement entretenue, une vaste pelouse et de multiples endroits pour se reposer, lire (à l'ombre ou au soleil), etc. Une table de ping - pong à l'écart. Une literie très confortable. Un équipement très complet. Un endroit majestueux, à l'écart du voisinage et pourtant très près de Monte San Savino (avec ce qu'il faut de magasins, de restaurants, etc) et pas loin de l'autoroute (ce qui permet une grande mobilité dans la région). Bref, un excellent séjour.

This was a truly authentic experience. Our host was so responsive and attentive to our needs. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and olive oil. And the passion our host has for his property is inspiring. We felt so welcomed and really enjoyed our stay. We truly felt like family! This region of Italy is particularly beautiful and the town of Cortona was charming.

Andreas is a great host. The place is truly amazing from many aspects. First, the house is perched on the side of a hill with amazing views. The property has many places to sit and hang out throughout the property. There is an outdoor gym plus 2 e-bikes and 2 mountain bikes for exploring the hills along the sea. The drive into town is about 8 minutes, easy. I would highly recommend this place! As others have mentioned, the photos do not capture the beauty of this property. We had an amazing stay. There were four adults. You could have six and not feel cramped because fo the outdoor living space. Overall,10 out of 10.

Absolutely gorgeous property with country side view and a cozy outdoor area, plus two friendly black cats! Louise was the perfect host: friendly, generous, attentive, she even offered to help us out when we had a setback that was totally unrelated to our stay at her property. Highly recommend to any traveller seeking an idyllic stay in the Tuscan countryside!

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen! Marko ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber und die Wohnung wunderschön, in perfekter Lage direkt am Meer!

Die Unterkunft war super. Kontakt war sehr gut. Check-in/Check-out problemlos. Die Lage ist toll, 1min zum Meer mit wunderschönen klaren Wasser. Kleine „Probleme“ wurden sofort behoben. Beispielsweise war die Gasflasche zum Grillen leer, wir haben sofort am nächsten Tag eine neue bekommen. Top! Etwas schade war, dass das Sonnensegel auf der Terrasse gefehlt hat, dadurch war es dort am Tag sehr warm, darum haben wir einen Schirm vom Pool auf die Terrasse gestellt. Auch etwas Schade war, dass (wie ich denke) die Putzfrauen wirklich alles entsorgen oder mitnehmen. Dadurch ist die Küche komplett leer. Keine Gewürze, kein Öl/Essig, kein Pfeffer/Salz….. Normalerweise bin ich gewohnt, dass die Küche eine kleine Grundausstattung hat, oder nicht verbrauchte Lebensmittel vom Vorbesitzer in der Wohnung bleiben. Kein Grund deswegen einen Stern abzuziehen :)! Vielleicht ein Verbesserungsvorschlag für die Zukunft. Trotzdem 10/10. Danke!
