Mountain Nest - Ideal Retreat Vacation!

This cozy wood and stone cabin is located at the top of a mountain in a small Mayan village. The cabin overlooks the mountains and is surrounded by nature and tranquility. We are a 30-minute drive from the village of Lanquin (partially on a bumpy dirt road in very poor condition) and then a 200-meter walk on a rocky and sometimes muddy and slippery mountain path! If you are an adventurous nature lover and want to wake up in the clouds to an epic view, then this place is for you!!

A special place for DOG LOVERS as there are 9 loving rescue dogs, and for bird watching. The stay is very safe, clean and has all its amenities, cable TV, two bedrooms, kitchen dining room, living room, 1 full bathroom, a nice porch and its own parking lot for 1 car. If you are a nature lover who enjoys a country, somewhat rustic-style home, this is the place for you. It wasn't easy to find (don't follow Waze's directions...), but we finally found it with Michealyn's direction. We didn't have time to enjoy the garden since we were busy every day with activities (Semuc Champey is a MUST!). But if you have more time on your hands, it is a great place to relax with nature outside your door. a few tips to make the stay better: The dogs are friendly, but after the first night, where they barked all night long right under the bedroom window, my advice is to ask to take them off the premises for your stay. The host easily did it. If the internet is down (which happens every few hours), unplug it and plug it back and it will work. Ask the host how to get the hot water in the shower (it's a little trick). All in all, Michaelyn was quick to respond and the housekeepers were a great help as well.
