Cottage holiday rentals in Almuñécar

At Casa Lopez, we stayed for 1.5 months as 5 adults, a child, and a dog. Occasionally, we were up to 10 people, but space was never an issue. The villa is beautiful with stunning views of the mountains and surroundings. The mountain road to the villa adds charm, and the place feels comfortable and safe—even accessible with a Fiat 500. The villa is more spacious than the photos suggest. Rafael, the host, showed us all the amenities: pool, Jacuzzi, and game room—all in perfect order. We also worked from the villa using the internet without any issues. The area is picturesque, close to beaches, mountains, and towns, with plenty to do. The hosts are very kind and helpful, even recommending a mechanic when needed. After 1.5 months, we still felt their warmth and friendliness. Leaving Casa Lopez was emotional for us. So, I recommend the villa for vacations, as well as a place where after work you can open some wine and jump into the pool. I wish everyone an equally wonderful stay.

Carmen is very very friendly and helpful. She responds very quickly to messages. We received a warm welcome with a nice fruit basket and explanation of how everything works. Lovely house to recover and celebrate holidays and therefore definitely recommended. The only downside is poor road surface on the way there and navigation actually indicates a different location. I think the road is better accessible with a terrain wagon or car with 4 wheel drive.

We had a really great time in Madre Tierra. Rafa welcomed us and was really helpful for any request we had. The house is comfy, calm and with a great view, close to nice mountain paths. Totally recommended. Thanks again Rafa!

Casa Anna Maria was the perfect place for us providing peace, tranquility and the most beautiful scenery. The home has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The pictures don’t do it justice, it exceeded all our expectations.

A lovely villa in beautiful surroundings. we were very comfortable and had everything we needed, plus the tomatoes from Juan Antonio's garden were absolutely delicious. The stay at Angel's accommodation "Las Lavaderas" was excellent. The quiet and private atmosphere allowed us to recover well. A perfect place to relax. The house is equipped with everything you need. Communication with Angel worked perfectly, friendly and always prompt.

José was an amazing host, always responsive and the villa was unbelievable. The views were incredible and everything matched the pictures so perfectly but was even more spacious than we thought. Would come back again and recommend to anyone 100%

Casa Alicia is the perfect place to stay for those who like peace and beautiful nature, which is unique especially in the spring. We had a nice weather in April, and there was a sunny weather with both dazd and cold, but that's not the host's fault. I recommend this place for those who are looking for peace and quiet. Zoltan

I was a guest of Rosa Maria's with my 17-year-old dog. It was a great time for us. The house is quite secluded, and difficult to reach without a car, but we enjoyed the peace and idyll very much. In the morning at breakfast the beautiful view of the sea , and in the evening with a glass of red wine unbeatable sunsets. It was just the thing for us🤗!

Our stay at Cortijo los Chinos was wonderful and very relaxing.

Quietly located in the hills around Alcoucin, William and Simone's cottage hides under the smell of the bougainvillea and the shade of the surrounding olive trees. A true oasis an hour's drive from the beautiful city of Malaga and the charming Torre del Mar. The cottage really offers everything you need. Fast WiFi connection, a beautiful bedroom with great bed, a spacious bathroom, a well-equipped kitchenette and not to mention, the beautifully located swimming pool. A wonderful villa in a wonderful location. So tranquil and relaxing. No road noise, not overlooked and beautiful views. Everything jn the house is of high quality, particularly the kitchen. So much space, we loved it. We were there in April and the weather was a bit hit and miss. The pool was a bit chilly, but we still went in every day.

We were looking for peace and quiet and that’s what we found! We appreciated the environmental concerns, water conservation and recycling. We were very happy with the simplicity of the house and the great restaurant recommended to us by Maria. Due to the hear we couldn’t do as much walking as we had planned but we were comfortable in the house with air-con and on the gorgeous shady terrace with hammock, loungers and table. I would love to go back in the winter and sit writing at the desk, walking the trails, and enjoying local food and wildlife!

Marcos was and is a fantastic host and the property is situated beautifully if you prefer a quiet and secluded/private holiday. A car is a must if you want to venture out everyday but that’s what we like as a family holiday. The house has everything you need, the views are stunning and the privacy being at the top of the hill means you are not overlooked by neighbours at all. We will definitely come back here and look forward to the next stay.

My family and I stayed at Antonio’s place the last week of August. It was perfect for our family of 4. 2 adults 2 children (7 & 10). The accommodation was extremely clean and very private, the villa is hidden amongst the vegetation. The pool was such a delight it was so warm the kids spent most of their time here. We did have a small rental car which made getting about easier, most amenities are within a 5/10minute drive. There is a small cafe a short walk downhill away. We would highly recommend this place.

Just arrived back from a wonderful week at Steph and Terry's home. The weather was amazing so we took full advantage of the beautiful pool in the most fabulous location. The property is set amongst the mountains and whilst remote it's not too far from the main road for visiting the surrounding area. For myself and my partner it ticked all the boxes as we love nature, watching the wildlife and the quiet of the mountains where we could relax away from our busy lives. Steph and Terry were always there to answer any questions and give recommendations. The Al In Carhire company recommended by them was extremely easy and value for money. Thank you to Steph and Terry for making our holiday special.

We were warmly received by Reijer. As a welcome, there was also a good bottle of wine, which we enjoyed at sunset on the terrace. In front of the house a large lemon grove...the smell was beguiling! The start was just perfect! The casita is beautiful and stylishly decorated and perfectly equipped with everything you could need. We enjoyed the opportunity to relax both on the terrace with great views and in the beautiful green courtyard. Even before arrival, Reijer recommended various hikes to us and otherwise, communicating with him was always helpful, nice and immediate. The bed was very comfortable with a good mattress and in the morning the view from the bed from the window to the mountains can't be beat 👍 We 100% recommend the casita. Spacious and comfortable house, the view from the terrace is exceptional! We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen with barbecue which we enjoyed despite the cool evenings. Flexible and self check-in, which is very convenient.
