A quiet 64-year-old house in the countryside

CarlotaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house is new and clean, like a house in a daily drama, it is a few minutes walk from the sea, and it is also highly recommended to travel alone!Really enjoyed the time spent in the yard and by the sea for a human being☺️ while not downtown, but the homeowner provided bicycles and was also good to call Uber, getting around/to the airport was no problem at all!Gushikawa Castle is only a ten-minute walk away, which is very beautiful, and it is also recommended to bike or walk around ~

Traveler's Tree house

Yuta & MisaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed with a family of five of us, three children! There is an Okinawan prayer house nearby, a short walk away overlooking the sea, and a very quiet atmosphere. I was able to spend a non-stressy stay in an open room with my children in a spacious room. While there are few options for accommodations with children, I think it is one of the few accommodations that are compatible with the location and indoor space that are pleasing to parents and children. The vessel is luxuriously used by the host's husband and woodworker Ken Fujimoto, and other furnishings are filled with nice items. It is fully equipped for daily life, so it is recommended for consecutive nights. The attentive host, Miho, also had a lovely personality, and check-in was very smooth. This inn is recommended for a base in southern Okinawa!

When we arrived, we realized that we were lucky to have found a wonderful family, kind, generous and welcoming, a family that knows how to live and knows how to make others live. Of all the Airbnbs from all over the world that we have done, this one wins the prize for the best and if we could give it one more ⭐️ star, it would be well deserved. We left with a heavy heart, sad to leave such a beautiful place and such beautiful people. We have found new Nakamas and we are pretty sure that our paths will cross sooner or later. See you soon.

Excellent secluded spot. The house is well equipped and comfortable, and the main benefit is the outstanding nature and quiet environment around it. Highly recommended.

A private rental house surrounded by nature/You can see mango and island banana trees, and Ryukyu traditional houses, making you feel like you are living on an island

Mio helped us before we even set foot on Kumejima. She reserved our rental car for us at the airport. This allowed us to go directly to Maja after our arrival. Mio and her family warmly welcomed us there and showed and explained everything in their cute guest house. The cottage is nicely decorated. In the living room with a tatami floor, we always set up our futon beds in the evening. They were very comfortable and we slept great on them. A very spacious mosquito net protects against nocturnal bloodsuckers ;o) The kitchen equipment has everything you need as a family, including children's dishes. 🩷 The garden is wonderfully green with many fruit shrubs. We used the washing machine and dryer, which was very convenient. On the terrace, we grilled several times very deliciously. The island is great to explore with a rental car. Mio gave us tips for restaurants, snorkeling trips and shopping.

Very nice place to get to enjoy the island. Everything in the town was walking distances and the apartment was perfect for our group.
