Holmenkollen is the hill you see on the north western side of Oslo. It takes 20-30 minutes to get here from the city centre – the view from the subway on the way up the hill is worth the trip alone!
The Holmenkollen area is a gateway to Nordmarka, one of the most popular recreational areas in the city. Tryvann and Frognerseteren are great starting points for hikes and trips summer and winter alike.
In addition to beautiful scenery, Oslo's top attraction is located up here; Holmenkollen Ski Museum and Ski Jump.
