Such a wonderful Japanese restaurant. The dishes are beautifully made and delicious. Get the dumplings to start and go from there. Just a few blocks up from the loft. It's fantastic!

An aluminum-sided greasy spoon. The food is excellent, the vibe is pitch-perfect Williamsburg, and while supplies last, their rib-eye steak is as good as anything at Peter Luger.

Popular all-day restaurant with a small selection of specialty food products. You can always find oysters, cured meats, and the famous brick chicken on the dinner menu, as well as rustic, market-driven specials. "The bone marrow solves all... a gateway protein kinda like bacon. So great the whole world stands on its head." - Anthony Bourdain, No Reservations

Once you get past the apathetic service, you’ll be blown away by their Fried Chicken Box (get the cheese grits) and finish it off with a slice of Banana Cream Pie. The doughnuts are great too!

Once a trendsetter, now a member of the Williamsburg establishment, Fette Sau serves up a rotating menu of pork and beef ribs that leads some to tag it as the best BBQ in NYC. If you're into BBQ, this is not one to miss. Top rated in the whole city for BBQ and I want to say, the country too. You'll feel like you're in the middle of Texas, I kid you not.

I LOVE this pizza. It's my go-to when I'm ordering pizza in. I recommend the margarita and the soppressata. It's thin crust, some of the best NY pizza I've tasted. Enjoy!

Get your coffee fix just a block away. I LOVE this place. If you need a place to hunker down for the day with a laptop and a cup of good coffee, this is the place. free wifi, no waiters rushing you to get going, and big comfy chairs and a cool interior to keep you grooving through the day. Or just stop in for your morning joe and a pastry, that's always good too!

Entertainment & Activities

A great movie theater. Perhaps my favorite in the whole city! The seats have tables by them and they have waiter service so come hungry and watch your movie as you sip your wine and eat your dinner. The food is pretty good too!

Essentials

The closest grocery store to the loft. Only 3 blocks south. I find it a bit pricier even than Whole Foods but when you're in a pinch, it's a very convenient option and it's huge so you will have lots to choose from. Open 7am - 11pm everyday.

Parks & Nature

This park is right outside the apartment by the water. It's open everyday (except Monday) from 11am - 8pm. Enjoy views of the water, walk around beautiful paths along flowers and a big vegetable garden. There are often events happening there. It's a great place to just chill out and enjoy! And so close to the apartment, it's a no brainer.
