Food Scene

PDG = Pretty Damn Good. I've had a lot of margaritas, the good and the bad. So I know a great one and the one I had here made with Mescal instead of Tequila was damn good. The tortilla chips I ordered with salsa were a bit over cooked. And I've had better Chicken Tinga by my own hands but the Chicken Tinga burrito was still very good. And the Frijoles Charros were lovely.

Arts & Culture

The theatre itself has a contained almost intimate feel -- we were very fortunate to get half-price tickets for the stalls -- centre, about 8 rows from the stage -- but I can imagine any seat in the rear stalls or in the circles would have felt as connected to the stage.

Shopping

Decided to walk from our hotel to aladdin show and went along oxford street regent street to picadilly. The shops are amazing although i suggest saving before going with a teenager:) Starting at Piccadilly Circus this beautiful, curved stretch of architecture holds some incredible shopping and fantastic food. We walked back and forth many times. Definitely worth a visit!

Essentials

The Strand is a lovely place for Sunday Brunch. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. You'll feel like you've stepped back to a bygone era, with the decor, the atmosphere, and the attentive service. There are some great buildings and institutions along this street. There is of course the station.Next to it used to be a news cinema. Heading east there used to be the Tivoli cinema.Further along is the Savoy.Hotel and theatre. The theatre is an art deco masterpiece.Next door is Simpson's one of the most famous restaurants in London. After Waterloo Bridge there is Somerset House and Bush House. Then the High Court on one side and the Temple on the other.A lot to see and do.
