Do you like to be outside, exercise or just be on the move, then you have a wide range of options. If you want to go out into the woods and fields, the options are many. You can take the trip to Damsgårdsfjellet, Lyderhorn, Kanadaskogen or Løvstakken to name a few. If you prefer to be indoors and keep your sneakers dry, you can always go to the Energy training center at Laksevåg center or Sats in Damsgårdsveien which are the closest. If you want more alternatives, you do not have to go very far, at Danmarksplass iTrain is another Sats and Family sports club. If you love organized sports, you will also find both football pitches and a gym here at Laksevåg with committed teams and coaches. Several of Laksevåg's prides can be found just a short stroll from the street door. Take a tour and learn more about the venerable Damsgård main farm's exciting history and architecture. Feel free to continue down the avenue and experience the area around Laksevågparken. Here you will find everything from beautiful green areas, exciting local museum to Laksevåg church and modern playgrounds. Bring friends and acquaintances to the famous barrel bonfire on St. Hans or experience the cultural festival Damsgårdsdagene. There is something for everyone.

There is a trail from the garden, that will take you directly up to Lyderhorn Mountain with a breathtaking view. If you walk the road instead of the trail you'll see old gun sites.

Mount Lyderhorn 396moh 5km from city centre. There is several ways to walk up but the way we would recommend is the one from Skålevik. You need a car to go there and there is a parkinglot at the bottom of the mountain. I would range it a medium heavy walk. Very nice view on top.

It takes a little effort to get to the only true mountain top in Bergen. But you won't be disappointed. Start from Gravdal bay (1 - 1.5h) or Lyderhornslien (40min)
