Head to the beach, it's definitely worth a visit. If you like a busy beach then walk down from the centre of town and go straight onto the beach. If you enjoy a quiet beach, turn left at the Palace Pier or go to Hove Lawns.

You have to end up here at some point! If you are here in mid-summer I would avoid the section directly down from the station where all the tourists come straight down the hill from the station. Head right or left and find nicer swimming and more space in hove or kemp town.
