Very clean with views to the Pyrenees and Spain. Relatively uncrowded.

If you are a beginner, this spot is one of the easiest to get a surf lesson. Easy to access and park, only 25mn from Biarritz. You can also get there by train. After surfing, go catch one of the river shuttle accross the Bidasoa. You'll get to Hondarribia, one of the first spanish towns, where you'll find amazing pintxos addresses !

For children, the Hendaye beach offers wide open spaces and calm water (which reaches 23 degrees in summer): an ideal choice for idleness with the whole tribe! A Mickey Club welcomes children for activities throughout the summer. On Wednesdays during the summer, a sandcastle competition is organised in Hendaye. The walk along the waterfront is also very pleasant as it has just been redesigned: the traffic is one-sided and gives way to a wide lane for pedestrians and bicycles. A small train also offers a visit of the bay and the town center. Many surf schools are waiting for you!!!
