A spectacular tropical aviary covering 20.9 acres, the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is not only one of the world's largest covered bird parks, but also an important research centre for scientists studying the behavioural patterns of certain species that are difficult to observe in the wild. Most of the over 2,000 birds here are local species, although about 10 per cent were imported from as far away as Tanzania and Europe.

The world's largest free-flight walk-in aviary and arguably the best one too. Located within the Botanical Gardens where the National Mosque and the Islamic Arts Museum are located. With over 3000 bird species roaming freely, this park is a must if you're visiting with kids or simply if you just love to enjoy nature and animals. Do not miss the bird shows if you are visiting!
