Fantastic large old prairie, huge collection of crabapples, magnolias, trees and shrubs. Really worth a visit.

Great Nature Preserve in the middle of Madison. Amazing Walking Trails.

A nice longer run out our front door toward the zoo. Go around the back side following the marsh and enter the Arboretum to have a peaceful route.

“This museum is a little chameleon - you would barely notice it if you weren't looking for it. It is free and fantastic. It's set right by some beautiful UW buildings that compliment the museum experience. It's open from 8am - 8pm - that's late! I've never seen it crowded. ”
