Los Angeles institution. Old school spot with yummy traditional French food. It’s more about the history and scene than anything else.

Another one within walking distance. Established in 1927, this is a historic LA landmark and used to be the hang out of the brat pack and Hollywood starlets. There is a cozy restaurant and retro bar to choose from. The decor is a throwback, but the dishes are ooh la la. Try the risotto or escargot with a big basket of bread and pretend your sitting next to Greta Garbo. Some Friday nights they have live music in the bar area. C’est la vie.

Dine in the bar, not the restaurant - it's a really cool classic space! Check website - often live entertainment in the evening, otherwise usually sports on the TV. Soup &salad is pretty filling.

One of the oldest restaurant of LA, you can eat some good french cuisine (the hamburger worth a try ;)
