On the Black Isle, this town offers great cafes and shops, museums and dolphin tours. It is an architecturally important with its Georgian Merchant houses and fisherman's cottages in vernacular style.
Just a five minute drive will take you to Nigg where you can catch a ferry to the lovely fishing village of Cromarty.
Lovely traditional fishing village with good places to eat and some quirky shops. Also ferry to Nigg during summer miths - good option for getting North to Dornoch and Golspie.
