Excellent tour of museum and theatre. Original artifacts of Lincoln and Booth. Tix admits to Petersen House as well (boarding house where Lincoln was taken after shot). Free, donation only. $5 audio.
site of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln’s assassination that took place on 14 April 1865; he theatre is wonderfully preserved and looks very much the way it did that fateful night including the President’s Box, where the assassination occurred, which is still decorated just as it was in 1865.
