My favorite neighborhood bar, restaurant. They serve the best sauteed spinach and garlic. The crowd is mixed and gay friendly and they have frequent film screenings.

“This restaurant is in an area of Harlem called Little Senegal, and they stick to a mostly Senegalese menu. Some of the dishes require a lot of time and care, so they’re only available on certain days of the week, like Friday’s cow foot soup with vegetables. They also serve bissap juice, a sweetened hibiscus tea, and homemade ginger juice. At lunch, I order the lamb mafe, a big bowlful of stewed meat cooked with peanut butter and spiced tomato paste.”
