Requires a membership, but it was our grocery store when we lived here!

Seattle is a city of first locations, this is the very first Costco store in the United States. It is like every other Costco, except a wandering tourist may need to stock up on jumbo size snacks orcontact lenses. But the reason I recommend it is because the center isle has discounted gift…

FYI this is the first Costco to open. If you don't know Costco then I guess you don't care, but if you do, you can walk in and see a piece of the original wall.

Fish Market
“This is a good place to go buy or eat fresh see food away from the crowds like the ones at Pike Place market. You can also walk around and check out the fishing boats.”

Park
“This place is so fantastic! Playground, spray park, and a nice soccer field? Be still my heart! The playground and spray park also have big trees that provide some shade from the sun if you are Seattle white and don't want to turn salmon pink. Foot traffic from nearby businesses and other random pedestrians can get pretty interesting. All in all, great place to enjoy the beautiful Emerald City summer and a good place to people watch. ”

Restaurant
“Get your Aloha on. Loco Moco with a side of Macaroni Salad. Save room for the adjoining Hawaiian Bakery for a piece of cake that tastes like your'e in Hawaii. If you choose this as a lunch place be patient for a parking spot and don't forget to say 'Mahalo' Not a dinner place because they do close early.”
