Tips from locals
There are a couple loops for walking/jogging. Shortest loop is about 3 miles, but you can extend it by going further north. There are multiple bridges to turn around and come back on the other side.
This easy trail is also family and pet-friendly. Winding along the Deschutes River, it is a great trail for hiking, walking, biking or running. As it is located near the Old Mill District, there are plenty of places to eat or shop before or after your walk. The parks nearby also allow for stand-up…
Great, popular 3 mile loop trail along the Deschutes River at Farewell Bend Park near the Old Mill District.
We love renting a raft or tube and floating the Deschutes. You can drop off by Harpers Bridge and there are several take out places along the float!
Start at Sawyer Park and walk north or Reed Market and walk south. Great few miles of beauty!

“A Prineville tradition, Dillon's is another local favorite. While they have a wide variety of food, they also have a kitchen in the middle of the dining area that allows the amazing smell of BBQ to permeate the entire place. Friendly staff, good food and a uniquely Prineville atmosphere make this a great place for lunch and dinner. In the summer they even have a super chill patio!”

“Prineville's most upscale bar and steakhouse, Club Pioneer is one our favorites. It is great for getting an amazing Steak and Garlic Potatoes, good appetizers and a late-night drink. One of our friends, a plumber, also said it is the cleanest kitchen he has ever been in. A great place for the whole family or just the two of you for date night.”
