About this place
Let's start with the fact that Frankies' cavatelli with sage butter and spicy sausage may be the single best cavatelli in New York City. If that isn't what you need to hear, then consider the rest of the Frankies experience: a warm, throwback dining room, great lively vibe, and amazing simple Italian fare, like the aforementioned cavatelli and perfect cured meats. The namesake Franks are in many ways New York's self-appointed ambassadors to an Old Country version of Italian food. We're better off for it.
Tips from locals
good italian and fun outdoor seating. just make a res if you dont want to wait!
Great Italian with reasonable prices, a good scene and most importantly... vino rosso alla spina
Simple inexpensive REALLY YUMMY Italian food. Everything is made fresh and local (including the meats which come from their place in Brooklyn)
Some of the best Italian food in the neighborhood. It's a little loud inside, but everything about it is delicious.
