Why locals recommend it

Dating back to the mid-19th century, this is one of the world’s oldest working music halls. After decades of neglect, it was finally restored and now has a fabulous selection of theatre, cabaret, music, dance, and opera. I love its intimacy and the genuine shabby-chic aesthetic. It’s like going back in time, but with a dance band for company. If you get bored just watching other people enjoy themselves onstage, why not try one of their fantastic workshops? Learn how to make props like a pro, write your own play, or just be a drama queen.

One of London's classic music halls. Practically untouched since it was first built in the 1800s. A hidden gem

The world's oldest surviving Grand Music Hall. Over 300 years it's evolved from Victorian sailors' pub to music hall. Large variety of artistic work including plays, opera, puppetry, classical music, cabaret, dance and magic shows.
