Mountain backcountry with wilderness areas, state parks & trails for hiking & horse-riding. This general has a few options: Visiter's Center with info for local area, non profit organization that talks conservation and all kinds of stuff, and several trail options, my favorite of which is the Art Smith Trail... which starts across the street from here and goes up for 7 miles. Oasis is a good turnaround point which is about 2.5 in for a 5 mile round trip in some amazing, secluded, less traveled desert.
