The Bike Kitchen

For $6, you can learn how to change a flat or get started on a bottom bracket overhaul. Even if you don't need any work done, just ride through the giant courtyard. It's inspiring to see volunteers at this nonprofit teaching people from all walks of life how to fix their own bikes. Become a member for $50–$100 and you’ll earn digging rights for used parts. On the 2nd and 4th Mondays, 6-9 pm, the Bike Kitchen hosts WTF, hours when Women, Trans, and Femmes can find a safe and supportive place to learn how to wrench. How cool is that?
