“Cozy, peaceful suite with an uplifting view of high mountains and ocean. All the amenities needed and touches such as a pair of matching umbrellas for romantic explorations of the area. What was most exceptional was the warm and embracing welcome with such kindness shown to us with all the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19. Really so touched.”
A well known, long time island destination. Reminiscent of a funky, west coast beach town, the legendary Wildwood cabins deliver that authentic “cabin in the woods” vibe just 30 minutes from the city. Classic, rustic cabins updated with industrial and reclaimed timber features. 5 cabins on 5 forested acres. Relaxed. Self-contained. Big ocean and sunset views up top. Direct access to trails. Close to Bowen's best beaches. Explore the wilderness or nest by the fire. Cabin 1, 2 and 4 listed.
“The hosts are so wonderful! Quick responses and super friendly, helpful and cool. If you go you must take advantage of walking up to the top of the hill to see the stellar sunsets, and it's definitely worth it to build a fire in the sauna and sit back and relax. We were on foot and walked from snug cove - 1 hour 10 minutes - but there is also a bus that will go by. We managed without a car which is how we always try to travel and were able to get around with ease. The cabin is a super cozy retreat with lovely little touches and we hope to make it back soon! Stay safe everyone.”
Private suite with ocean vistas and private hot tub. This well maintained property presents beautiful views of the Salish Sea. The well-appointed one-bedroom suite has its own entrance and features a large private deck with a barbecue.
“Suite on Velvet is just a few kilometres from the bay where you will find the Small seafood restaurants and buy your fresh seafood from Tamara’s boat. We first thought we would be walking The 5 Km there and back daily, but the weather wasn’t the greatest, so we chose to drive and enjoy the local fare for lunches. We bought the fresh seafood from Tam’s boat and cooked it at the Suite.... there is no regular stove/oven, but we managed two fantastic evening meals cooking seafood pasta and the next night steak/prawns and oysters, potatoes and mushrooms using the bbq and individual induction burner. The fresh flowers and candles provided by Edda and Heiko added a nice touch, add in the late night hot tub with beautiful ambient lighting overlooking the ocean and you have yourself a perfect romantic getaway! Morning coffee sitting on the patio in the beautiful manicured gardens with the ocean view is something we will sorely miss as we head back to the prairies. There is a fabulous beach walk just a minute or two drive away. We had a 2 hour walk right along the ocean. To end my review, it doesn’t really matter whether it’s rain or shine, you’ll enjoy the privacy of this suite to relax, or find local activities if the weather permits. Edda and Heiko are super friendly and very accommodating! The suite is exceptionally clean, the bed and pillows are super comfy and the fleecy house coats are a great touch for those chilly mornings. 5 plus stars from us.”
