Chef Matteo and Anthony were lovely and created a menu to satisfy all of us and our children. It was wonderful to have a healthy, chic, locally sourced and beautiful home-cooked meal on New Year's Eve. The experience was fantastic, the food was delicious, and Matteo even helped us with booking some other local excursions. We are SO happy we did and so very highly recommend!!

I messaged Matteo after I had searched for a chef experience for our AirBnB that was inclusive of my wife as she's vegetarian, and everyone gave us a great Tico menu for the party members that are meat, but the vegetarian options were abysmal, and I was left wondering how I could cook and go celebrate my wife's birthday while having a special meal. Matteo to the rescue! he gave us Numerous menu options that all sounded incredible, we went with the tico inspired experience. Everything was plates with exceptional style and looked packed full of flavor. There was so much talk of this is my fav, okay, this one, no wait. We all had our expectations met and bested. Matteo's lime crema made with cashew milk was such an analog for proper creme freche but better. I really cannot speak highly enough of Matteo, his conversational friendliness was awesome, everyone had a nice bonding moment, his hosting was perfect. COMMUNICATION! Such a lost art, he responded fast, and checked every single box above and beyond what I was looking for. He gave us an experience we won't forget, and it was the perfect end to my wife's birthday. This was an amazing experience! Matteo and his sous chef arrived very prepared to our rental in a rugged area. Vegans and nonvegans were floored by the 5 course meal for 8 and raved about it the rest of the trip. It was a perfect balance between familiar flavors and new fusions. I found Matteo about a week before our arrival in Costa Rica. Though we wanted to embrace every moment of our stay, this experience was one we were highly anticipating and couldn’t wait to take part in. Matteo had clear communication with me, he ensured there would be no gluten in any of the courses. He was very professional and punctual. Now on to the good stuff: Chef Matteo prepared five incredible courses for our group. All individually beautiful on their own, each unique from the next. Every bite left us in awe, all eight of us experiencing a pretty magical moment. So vibrant, full of flavor; thoughtfully and beautifully executed. I informed Matteo when I booked him that we were a group with some pretty heavy meat-eaters… it’s safe to say that if we had access to his creativity and expertise, we would all easily convert to a completely vegan lifestyle. This was such a wonderful and memorable experience, and I can't recommend it enough! As soon as I booked it, Matteo communicated right away to get details about the venue and discuss menu ideas. I let him know my party's favorite ingredients and dietary restrictions, and he was very happy to incorporate them. All five courses were stellar, but the young coconut ceviche and the cacao butter mousse dessert were two of the best dishes I've *ever* tasted, vegan or otherwise. Most of my 10-person group was not vegan, and we all absolutely loved it. The dinner was perfectly paced, and Matteo plated and cleared each course seamlessly, then left the kitchen spotless. It was such a treat to have this beautiful meal prepared for us at our vacation rental, and Matteo is just a really cool, interesting person who we all enjoyed meeting.
