Vegan picnic with rescued animals
We'll start with a tour of the sanctuary where you'll meet a variety of rescued farm animals. We'll share their stories of resilience and healing and talk a bit more about the industries they come from. You'll love meeting our animal ambassadors and may be surprised at what you learn, since we so rarely see the animals in our food system. Join us afterwards at our picnic tables in the field for a glass of local wine and a vegan cheese and charcuterie platter. (Note: The platter contains nuts and gluten unless otherwise requested. Please inform us of any allergies when you make your booking so we can be sure to provide suitable options. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served.) The Experience will last approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Please be mindful that as a sanctuary for rescued animals, our priority is the physical and emotional well being of the rescued animals who call Charlie's Acres home. Our loved animal residents are completely free and always have a choice as to whether or not they want to interact with visitors. They will reside at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives, where we'll have the honor of taking care of them. Magical llama walk with dogs, goats & flowers
(Dates and times are flexible. I can accommodate most dates and times. ) Each guest will get a llama of their choice to walk with. We will start with snacks and drinks and then go on a full tour of the farm. After seeing all the animal fields we will walk with the llamas on a small forest trail along a seasonal creek. On our walk we will look at some ancient Indian acorn grinding rocks. Cold drinks, a pie & ice cream will be offered on the shady lawn at the end of the tour. If you like shopping: I have a small store with gifts, antiques and book right next door. In the summer guests could take a refreshing swim in the swimming pool. A small pool is available for young children. Minimum group size is 2. If you are booking just one space, I might have to cancel if there are no additional bookings. My dates, times and group sizes are flexible. Please contact me if you like to schedule something on a specific day or time. Group or school tours are available, please inquire. Other things to note: During the rainy season rain boots are best since the fields can be muddy. Good walking shoes or boots are best during the dry seasons. Enjoy Private Chef Dave in Sonoma
“I pride myself on being super easy to work with. Food should be fun and as a writer I love to talk cuisine and restaurant culture, it’s a passion of mine to create a narrative for my guests. Most of all I like to craft memories as well as dishes, let’s have a meal to remember!” They say the desert cleanses, and nothing could be more accurate. You’ll notice it as that first breeze on a dry evening, ripples the surface of the pool and the sun sets against the mountains. That is an iridescent moment of calm beyond description. It is then you are open to the experience and flavors of Sonoma. The region has its own culinary tale, one written in Spanish, English, and Arabic. From epic citrus to delicate dates, the area has cultural influences found nowhere else in California. And the rich agriculture and farms surrounding the desert environs make for transcendent local ingredients. I will arrive 90 minutes before your dining time to begin working my magic. I will show up at your doorstep equipped with every ingredient needed to prepare your meal. Feel free to put your apron on and cook some of the dishes with me! I am eager to share with you the secrets behind my recipes and local hidden treasures. Take advantage of our group discounts! ★ 10% OFF — groups from 4 to 5 guests ★ 15% OFF — from 6 guests
