Taos Cow has award winning ice cream too. They are located in the heart of Arroyo Seco on the way to TSV. They also have good morning breakfasts using natural, local hippie food. I eat there often.

Like German food? Must try The Bavarian, good & authentic food, beer & wine in a beautiful location. It is at the top or the end of the road on the way to Kachina Peak and during bad weather a 4-wheel drive is recommended. I eat there every time I visit.

Pizano's Pizza is one of may favorite pizza places not just in Taos but anywhere plus I drive by Pizano's every time I drive to our Chalet. It is near the corner of US-64 in El Prado & turning East to NM-150 the TSV Road But they are not just pizza they have a multi-page full menu of excellent Italian food with drinks, appetizers, salads, sandwiches and Italian dinners. They make it all upfront where you see it made and they have a nice dinning area both indoor and outdoors looking up the TSV mountain peaks or they will pack it up for you to bring it home or have your own picnic at any one of the many concrete picnic tables you drive-by being in the middle of Kit Carson National Forest.

It is near the corner of US-64 in El Prado & turning East to NM-150 the TSV Road But they are not just pizza they have a multi-page full menu of excellent Italian food with drinks, appetizers, salads, sandwiches and Italian dinners. It is tucked away behind a two-story shopping area with ample parking or turn right after you see the Aceq sign and stop when you get to the market parking lot. They usually are only open a night and serve top wines by the glass or bottle.
