Three words: Authentic Nepalese Food. Can't go to the Himalaya? Try the Wildberry. It is Sherpa owned and quite good. They also have traditional American fare, so everyone can find something they'd like to try.

A VERY easy hike is the Trail of Shadows, while Eagle Peak is basically the opposite. Check-in with the Park Rangers at the Wilderness Information Center for current trail conditions. Open during the summertime only. You may want to consider traveling through Packwood via Forest Service Rd. 52 either to the East side of the Park, or from the East side. This gives an opportunity for refueling, groceries and restaurants.
