Beautiful swimming spot in the warmer months. Gorgeous walk around the pond in the cooler or cold months. Check out the replica of Thoreau's house and there's a new visitor's center, too. It's about a 25 minutes drive from the house.

This is our favorite beach. The water is somewhat swimmable by August (it is New England afterall) and check out Russell's Orchards for apple picking and cider donuts on your way home. With no traffic, Ipswich is about an hour north of us.
