If you like musicals, Oscar's is the place to be. It's in the gay village on Canal Street, so this is the main crowd in here. Often has a range of musicals on a loop throughout the night, and the cocktails are strong and made with high-quality spirits.

Another must-visit location. Great on a warm sunny afternoon where you can prop yourself up outside one of the many bars, and sit and people-watch. It's next to the canal, so you might see the odd barge coming through too.

Dukes 92 is down Castlefield and is a great place to spend an evening or a nice easy Sunday. Lots of other places around Castlefield too, pick one that takes your fancy. Good food and drinks to be had, great for a romantic dinner too.

Local park nature park with a large lake in the middle of it - nice to walk around, or if you're into fishing, there are plenty of fish to be caught in here. My dad goes up here often with his fishing tackle and has a nice relaxing day.
