This is a famous biker bar near the beach in Copolis. They have good food and pool tables, beer garden outdoors with live music in the summer on weekends, great prime rib on Fridays. In all honesty, I have seen few bikers there. It's just the history. Clean and ok to take kids in to eat.

There are many restaurants of all kinds on the water front. There are extensive piers, a huge fishing fleet, fresh seafood to purchase on pier 8. There are beaches and lookout tower. You can catch a charter boat and go deep sea fishing, or bring our own rod and reel, or crab or shrimp nets, and fish off the pier for humans, not boats. Be sure to read up on the regulations and licencing on the Washington Fish and Wildlife web site.

Best and safest swimming for the kids are at the beaches on some of the lakes in the state parks. The ocean is not for the weak here. Heavy wave and riptide action. BUT the shore fishing is good, and in season, the clamming is great.

Great restaurants, take your car out on the beach. Catch a horseback ride on the beach. Wonderful huge beaches. Careful of the tides and riptides on the ocean side. Best and safest swimming for the kids are at the beaches on some of the lakes in the state parks. The ocean is not for the weak here. Heavy wave and riptide action. BUT the shore fishing is good, and in season, the clamming is great.
